The Role
Job Summary & Responsibilities:
The Manager, Product Marketing will oversee strategy, planning and execution of marketing efforts for the MotorTrend digital platform, including web, mobile app, and CTV, with focus on anonymous, registered, and premium tiers of service. The candidate must be a highly collaborative, strategic, data driven self-starter able to work in a fast-paced environment.Â
As Manager, Product Marketing, the ideal candidate will partner with key internal teams to plan all marketing initiatives including paid media and mobile user acquisition, synergy campaigns, email efforts, partnership marketing, social media, and asset creation. The Manager, Product Marketing will work closely with the Product Development Team, colleagues on the Marketing Team, Internal Stakeholders, as well as external partners and agencies to define, launch, test, measure, and optimize all marketing efforts.Â
The Manager, Product Marketing is expected to possess a wide set of skills including mobile marketing strategy and execution, creative direction, rigorous analysis, identification of opportunities for optimization, application and management of optimizations, frequent communication, collaboration with others throughout the organization, presentations, and ongoing self-education. The Manager, Product Marketing will possess a strong work ethic and collaborative spirit, with the ability to flex from a big picture perspective to the finest details with ease.Â

Essential duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:Â
- Develop and execute product marketing strategy for MotorTrends’s digital ecosystem including anonymous, registration, and premium membership offerings Â
- Work closely with Product Development to ensure goals and priorities are aligned with the greater organization and serving our target consumer
- Manage ongoing ASO and partner with Media team to develop growth strategies for the mobile app and web experience
- Manage web landing page development and optimization
- Create best in class creative materials working with both internal and external partners including digital advertising creative, print materials, video trailers and/or television commercials, and synergy assetsÂ
- Partner with other marketing teams including Comms + PR, Distribution + Content Marketing, Brand Marketing and Sales Marketing to develop and implement marketing plans across launch and sustainment phases for key company tentpoles
- Analyze performance of marketing campaigns to regularly identify areas for optimization
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Media, or CommunicationsÂ
- College degree required, MBA preferredÂ
- Minimum 5+ years of digital marketing, mobile marketing, or streaming platform marketing
- Experience marketing subscription and membership services including a strong understanding of KPIs and business metrics
- Experience working with established brands, ideally automotive or media
- Experience with iOS and Android app marketing
- Significant experience, proficiency in, and passion for digital media and mobile technologies
- Working knowledge of current and projected trends in SEO is a plus
- Entertainment experience is a plus
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Must be able to effectively manage several feature launches simultaneously Â
- Personality suited to handle responsibility, leadership and deadlines under pressure
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to implement strategic marketing as well as daily marketing execution and optimization
- Passionate about media industry and future of automotive
- Ability to effectively communicate and “sell” strategies to cross-functional teams
- Highly Detailed and OrganizedÂ
- Excellent communications (oral and written) skillsÂ
- Strong problem-solving/troubleshooting skillsÂ
- Strong technical aptitude - ability to adapt and pick up new tools quickly is a must
- Proficiency in PowerPoint and Keynote, with strong presentation skills and an ability to clearly articulate Strategy, Objectives, and Tactics along with rationale
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Exceptional time management skills, including the ability to handle multiple projects with changing priorities
Physical Requirements:
- The ability to sit for prolonged period of time and view a computer screen
- Position is located in El Segundo, CA office (hybrid, with weekly office attendance mandatory)
- Infrequent travel may be requiredÂ

Work Environment:
- Work is performed in an office environment that is well lit and ventilated.
In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles that will be performed in California. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of MotorTrend's total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $90,500.00 - $140,500.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, MotorTrend provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
