What You Will Do

The Manager, Product Operations, sits under the Digital Product Management team which supports Disney's domestic parks & resorts websites and apps. In this role, you will manage a team of Product Managers and Digital Product Operations Managers to ensure alignment with the digital strategy and acts as the main expert for the business. This position works with brand, product, operations, and technology partners to translate the digital product strategy into feature requirements and user stories. You will also work alongside technical teams to ensure accurate delivery of those requirements across the entire software development lifecycle.

The Manager, Product Operations works under the direction of the Sr Manager - Digital Product Operations.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Building positive relationships with business partners, such as other product and brand managers, technical teams, and legal & compliance and handle expectations regarding scope and budget.

  • Owning the strategic execution of small to large projects and delivering them within scope, budget, and established timeframe.

  • Managing project budget and financials which includes billable hours and time allocation of resources, forecasting, and monthly/yearly/reforecasting budgeting.

  • Possessing a curious and open mentality when pitching new ideas while also maintaining a sense of empathy and collaboration.

  • Supporting and guiding a multi-functional technical team to ensure alignment within the defined scope.

  • Providing frequent communication updates to leadership on project's progress and raising issues that could impact the budget, timeline, or strategic vision.

  • Owning the feature development and defect backlog of the team’s product and in conjunction with other product teams to confirm that priorities adhere to the overall strategic direction.

  • Regularly monitors and reports on consumer insights based on frequent check-ins with the analytics team.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Minimum of 8 years of related work experience - Product Management or Account Management.

  • Minimum 5 years working in the digital/technology industry.

  • Expertise and understanding of the Agile software development methodology.

  • Excellent leader with the ability to mentor and support a multi-functional team.

  • Outstanding presentation skills and ability to adapt the communication style to different audiences, including executive leadership.

  • A problem-solver that can identify, understand, and drive resolution of complex critical issues.

  • Ability to think strategically and drive ideas into action, with a positive outlook and personal initiative.

Education

Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent work experience

Preferred Skills

Master’s degree in business administration (MBA)
