Position Overview
As part of DoubleVerify’s Classification Operations team, the Manager, AI Curation enables the quality of DV classifications that ensures questionable or extreme types of content are not monetized, and that brand ads don’t appear on content they would like to avoid. To achieve this, the Manager will lead the team that labels web, mobile and social data, and support the development and maintenance of AI and ML Models. This is an excellent management opportunity for someone who is interested in working in AI/ML Operations or content moderation. You’ll grow your knowledge of the tech industry and social platforms globally, learn about ML/AI Ops tools and take part in the development of new technologies, all towards the mission of making the ecosystem safer, more transparent and sustainable.Â

- Analytical, with excellent attention to detail and critical thinking skills
- Excellent at project management and prioritization under tight timelines and occasionally changing requirementsÂ
- Tech savvy, with a deep understanding of internet, social media and/or platform content issues
- Comfortable seeing and talking about sensitive or explicit textual and visual content
- Proficient in simplifying and presenting complex concepts to senior stakeholders
- Experience leading a team of data labelers for machine learning/AI purposes a plus
Primary Job Responsibilities
- Onboard, mentor and coach data labeling team membersÂ
- Partner with Product Management and Data Science team to prioritize labeling activities, setting clear targets to deliver against strategic goals
- Lead and ensure cross-functional collaboration to comply with labeling procedures and external regulatory standards in an effective and efficient manner.
- Identify and communicate quality or compliance risks associated with labeling activities and determine appropriate plans to address
- Lead the day-to-day team operations, including team member projects and stakeholder support requests
- Provide quality reviews and feedback for content labeling tasks
- Identify & implement labeling process improvement solutions
Skills & Background:
- 5+ years of experience in product operations, product management, or an operational role that worked closely with product and engineering teams
- 2+ years’ experience managing, coaching and developing a team.
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in subject areas related to media, psychology, sociology, journalism, linguistics or information science
- Demonstrated ability to develop strong and positive working relationships across multiple cultures and within a global environment.
- Excellent communication and problem solving skills
- Advanced Microsoft Office or Google Spreadsheets experience
- Knowledge of SQL and and/or programming experience (Python) a plus
- Experience in a high growth technology company
- Desire to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environmentÂ
The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on a number of non-discriminating factors, including qualifications for the role, level, skills, experience, location, and balancing internal equity relative to peers at DV.
The estimated salary range for this role based on the qualifications set forth in the job description is between $83,000 to $158,000. This role will also be eligible for bonus/commission (as applicable), equity, and benefits.Â
