HOW YOU WILL SOAR:
The Manager, Product Owner will lead the product vision and delivery of Retirement and Custody Services initiatives focused primarily on operations processes. The incumbent will be empowered and accountable to create and deliver on a long-term roadmap while working closely with leadership and technical teams to ensure the roadmap supports and aligns with business and technology goals. The assigned squad(s) will be accountable for increasing operational efficiency, re-engineering and streamlining processes, finding innovate solutions to complex business problems, and retiring legacy systems while aligning tactical decisions with strategic architectural principles.
- Become an enterprise owner accountable for ongoing product delivery of assigned team(s)
- Develop and execute product roadmaps with a focus on measurable outcomes
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders across multiple departments and vendors to elicit and analyze requirements, provide context for the product vision, identify constraints and risks, and align with organizational strategy and priorities
- Author and maintain User Stories and ultimately accept / approve for Production-readiness
- Groom and maintain product backlog and ensure enterprise-level prioritization across multiple departments
- Engage and collaborate with the team to create and manage Agile artifacts such as Product Roadmap, Backlog, Release Plan, Lessons Learned and information needed for prioritization and decision-making
- Work in partnership with the team and stakeholders to employ Agile methods, processes, tools and metrics to deliver value including ongoing product backlog refinement, product roadmaps and release planning
- Define KPIs and/or SLAs while monitoring and reporting on business and client metrics for the product
- Track and regularly share progress with stakeholders and the team
- Regularly assesses features and costs to determine if and when to proceed with a product
- Other duties as assigned
IF YOU HAVE SOME OR ALL OF THE FOLLOWING, APPLY:
- Bachelor's Degree in Operations, Business, Finance, Product Development or related field
- Certifications: SAFe POPM (preferred) or similar Product Owner / Product Manager certification
- 5-7 years of applicable experience
- The ideal incumbent will be strategic, innovative, and creative with a solid analytic foundation.
- In-depth understanding and development of back-office operational processes with a strong preference for financial services and/or trading environments
- Experience with robotic process automation or related automation solutions
- Strategic, innovative, and creative thinking with a solid analytical foundation, able to lead complex re-engineering and process optimization efforts
- Strong leadership skills to gain credibility, garner respect, and guide the creation of self-organizing teams
- Professional assertiveness with business partners to address opposing viewpoints while adhering to Agile concepts and principles
- Working knowledge of Agile practices such as iterative development, incremental delivery, backlog management, burn down metrics, velocity and task definition, preferably in a SAFe-based environment
- Strong communication, facilitation and interpersonal skills to connect and engage with the team across business and technical roles, facilitate discussions, advocate for the team, negotiate with the business, mentor team members, and resolve conflicts
- Ability to work with minimal direction, and flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities and schedules
- Ability to handle multiple issues simultaneously and manage stressful situations
- Strong knowledge of technical concepts and architectural principles to drive scalable solutions
