Job Summary
This Manager of Product Sales will be focused on guiding the evolution of US Dealer Allocation and Distribution as it relates to the Strategic initiatives and the Modernization of Motorcycle Distribution. This position will be focused on designing an updated methodology, reimagining dealer-level reporting, and KPI development and implementation.
The Manager of Product Sales will work on learning, advocating, and supporting Motorcycle product needs and desires for the North America Market. This position serves as a primary product and program liaison in assessing and communicating the implication of various market trends on sales forecasts for Motorcycle demand between NA leadership, staff, and many other internal & external stakeholders. This position manages a departmental team which will be responsible for generating, interpreting, and communicating monthly and long-term Motorcycle sales and operational planning (S&OP) function for the U.S. The Manager, Product Sales, will collaborate with US Country sales leadership team members in development of long-range volume plans and the wholesale order planning process/function.

Job Responsibilities
- Guide the implementation of the Hardwire II initiative as it relates to the Evolution of US Dealer Allocation and Distribution
- Develop dealer agreements for pilot participation
- Design and manage pooling business rules
- Create methodology for forecasting pooled inventory
- Lead reimagination of dealer-level allocation reports leveraging updated technology
- Implement KPIs relative to effectiveness of motorcycle inventory pooling
- Effectively manage dealer interactions
- Responsible for all aspects of the vehicle allocation process.
- This includes the development of the Harley-Davidson dealer allocation policy and updates to the policy, phase rollouts of production to the network, and monthly supplement allocation targeting dealers most in need of additional units.
- Lead role in forecasting retail unit sales for the corporate budgets/ forecasts/ and strategic plans. Also responsible for developing the wholesale plan and forecasts to support the retail unit sales budget and forecasts. Work with all internal stakeholders to continually improve the W/W process.
- Responsible for forecasting supply needs to support Harley-Davidson's Riding Academy training program, dealer Rentals units, as well as the supply for military and government & municipal fleet applications.
- Ensure continued people development and all staff is well-trained in the Harley-Davidson business process.
- Ensure that the motorcycles produced to support our sales goals are efficiently transported upon production to dealers throughout the US network as well as to the entry point locations for our Canadian market
- Develop, implement, and continually improve plan to align retail sales planning and analysis intelligence to stakeholder decisions in support of sustainable growth and business case development.
- Development of a robust system for allocation, vehicle retail and wholesale forecasting and planning and sales support program.
Bachelor's Degree Required
Education Specifications
- Business Administration or related field
Required
- Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience.
- Experience working in sales and operational planning (Sales & Operations Planning), planning, logistics, sales, business development, operations or related field.
- 3+ years of supervisory experience
- Must be well-versed in sales analysis techniques and have managed information system development projects.
- Must have excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills along with ability to develop an effective working relationship with all levels of the organization.
- Must have a high tolerance for ambiguity, strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Master of Business Administration degree.
- Possesses and applies comprehensive knowledge of the motorcycle business and dealer operations.
