Manager, Program Management

Your Role and Responsibilities
You are an experienced people leader who is passionate about bringing teams together and excels in a fast-paced product innovation organization. This team is responsible for partnering with our Product Management Engineering Design and Product Marketing teams to develop execute and deliver on the most critical innovation and ROB programs/initiatives. This team often works cross-functionally to deliver on these programs.
You are also a detail-oriented program manager at your core and while you love managing and supporting a team you also love to get your hands dirty with managing complex cross-functional programs where you can leverage your experience.
You are a high-energy self-starter that has a passion for building relationships problem solving and identifying opportunities for growth and positive change.

What you’ll do:

• Manage a grow a team of program managers with varying degrees of experience and career paths.
• Identify and solve cross-functional and inter-team challenges.
• Build positive trusting relationships through consistent on-time delivery of commitments and effective communication.
• Be the team’s biggest supporter – celebrating wins and helping solve challenges.
• Take a thoughtful and strategic approach to getting work done and prioritizing and escalating where appropriate.
• Identify opportunities to align projects to business-critical initiatives and drive cross-functional programs to improve team performance and abilities.
• Work well with ambiguity and know how to engage leaders cross-functionally to build a plan and communicate to a diverse set of technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Manage some key programs of your own that require senior leadership and drive to completion.
• Consistently deliver programs and meet goals on time.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• 5+ years of work experience in a related field
• 2+ years of people management experience
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal
• Detail-oriented and driven to keep people and processes organized
• Experience in core project management competencies including budget scope schedule requirements quality risk and critical path management
• Enthusiasm for modern development methodologies such as Agile DevOps and/or Kanban

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Passion and excitement for new technologies
• Experience interacting with customers senior executives and business leaders
• Extensive experience in managing teams
• Interest in identifying opportunities for engineering training skills development and growth
• Knowledge of business operations
• Sufficient technical depth to understand and participate in design tooling and implementation discussions and decisions
• Hands-on experience implementing new engineering operational processes
• Advanced knowledge/education in engineering
