Manager, Programmatic Account Strategy
Job Description
THE DAY-TO-DAY
- Manage a group of highly skilled programmatic account strategists. Scale knowledge and best practices
- Provide support for your team as well as opportunities for development and learning (coaching and feedback). Have one to one career development catch ups with direct reports at least once per month
- Set expectations on process and timing.
- Partner with sales teams to achieve client’s objectives and KPIs
- Establish close relationships with customers, becoming their trusted lead advisor in programmatic self-service media buying
- Provide subject matter expertise in different facets of Viant’s DSP with the goal of sharing with customers. Expand Viant’s footprint by cross-selling and up-selling product portfolio across multiple regions
- Proactively oversee client campaign launches and constantly provide recommendations that drive delivery and performance
- Monitor delivery and performance, tenaciously troubleshoot and escalate technical issues, surface insights, and continuously educate and train customers on best practices
- Share client insights and knowledge with the rest of Viant in a process-oriented manner
- Support and grow existing business; drive client satisfaction, top line revenue, and profit. Act as a Liaison between different internal departments
- Ensure your team delivers a high standard of work across planning, measuring, execution, reporting, optimization, communication, billing, and all other tasks required as part of running designated accounts
GREAT TO HAVE
- 6+Â years of experience in a Programmatic, Account Management, Account Strategist, Technical Services, Project Management role
- Previous exposure to mentorship or direct training and team development. Past experience of managing teams is a plus
- Bring to team an in-depth knowledge of the digital media industry and media market dynamics and managerial client service experience
- Solid understanding of programmatic, ad tech, self-serve DSPs, SSPs(Data lake, Cleanrooms are a plus)
- Outstanding troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrable passion for learning new technologies
- Outstanding communication, project management, and presentation skills
- Excellent organizational skills; process-oriented, yet entrepreneurial and versatile mindset
- Great energy, confidence, and passion for working in a fast-growing technology company which is helping transform the advertising industry
- Demonstrate leadership and coaching / mentoring skills
- Ability to travel to support business (up to 20%)
- Experience in Internet technologies such as HTML, SQL, JavaScript a plus
- BS/BA or equivalent; quantitatively oriented degree a plus
