Department Overview

PURE's Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) is responsible for establishing governance and project management discipline across the firm to deliver business outcomes aligned with PURE's strategy efficiently and consistently. The role is positioned within the newly formed Enterprise Project Management Office and will be reporting to the VP, Project Management Office and ideally based out of our corporate office in White Plains, NY.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Coordinate delivery of moderate to complex project deliverables during all project stages, i.e., Ideation, Planning, Execution, and Closure while adhering to the governance protocols
• Collaborate across the multiple teams and track project Risks, Action items, Issues, Dependencies (RAIDs), Decisions, and Change requests to effectively deliver project objectives on time and within scope with an emphasis on risk mitigation and communication; Escalate risks and issues to management as quickly as possible
• Ensure all stakeholders are appropriately informed and aligned. Proactively surface key decision points and gather competing perspectives.
• Establish, monitor, and report on project key performance indicators that explicitly show project benefits and value; Improve the success rate of projects against these defined benefits / KPIs
• Develop and execute change management strategies and activities with cross-functional team members, i.e., Go-to-Market planning, user training, and communications and post-implementation operating models
• Mentor/develop other project managers championing a culture of continue feedback
• Help increase PURE's Enterprise project management maturity by identifying process efficiencies and managing stakeholder expectations to deliver consistent business value

Required professional experience

• 5+ years related project management experience (preferably in the P&C insurance industry). If not, must be willing to learn the business and technologies currently
• Be comfortable with ambiguity at all project stages
• Work in multi-functional agile teams to iterate and execute on project objectives
• Confidently communicate and share experience and knowledge
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to communicate with business leaders, developers, and end-users
• Team player, friendly and can adjust to changing priorities

Additional Desired Skills (Plus)

• Agile/Scrum experience
• Experience using Project Management tools (preferably Smartsheet) and MS suite i.e., PowerPoint, Excel.
• Strong analytical capabilities with a curiosity for finding the answers to questions
• Exceptional attention to detail, humble and self-aware with growth mindset
• Displays empathy, creativity, and an urgency to be exceptional
• Excellent interpersonal, listening, written, and oral communication skills, with the ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language
• Eager to develop new skills and enhance expertise
• Can balance multiple projects simultaneously and accurately set client/team expectations
• PMI Certification is a plus
• Experience with Smartsheet is a plus
