Zayo is seeking a Manager, Project Management to be responsible for the flawless delivery of services across the Managed Services product portfolio, including managed Communications, Connectivity, Cybersecurity, and/or Edge solutions. The person in this role works cross functionally with other Product, Sales, Operations, and Engineering teams to ensure continuity across all aspects of the Service Delivery experience. The Manager, Project Management is also responsible for the day-to-day management of the PMO.

* This position is remote from anywhere in the Continental US.

 Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership across a team of project professionals to ensure consistent and improving delivery of new and additional services to customers. Maintain primary responsibility for the Project Management process for all products and services.

  • Lead the way in the application of project management discipline tailored to the unique needs of Managed Services, aligned with customer needs. Ensure processes and procedures are scalable and yield predictable, repeatable results.

  • Work with vendors and subcontractors to continually improve their project communication and full cycle delivery times. Maintain visibility to key process milestones and initiate escalations promptly to prevent and address delays. Provide leadership to drive continuous improvement in vendor and subcontractor execution.

  • Create/enhance performance metrics and provide results-based measurement data to senior management on a recurring basis.

  • Work with voice origination/termination providers to maintain tight process flows and predictable outcomes for telephone service transition/porting to Zayo Managed Services.

  • Drive systems enhancements/new system requirements to support process improvement across all services.

  • Oversee complex deployment projects and manage/engage as necessary to ensure superior service delivery.

  • Based on observations and lessons learned during deployments, work with all business units within Zayo Managed Services to improve products, services, and processes as needed to maximize customer satisfaction and financial return. 

  • Assist with and facilitate process improvement activities across the Zayo Managed Services organization. Extend this capability to customers as required on key engagements.

  • Responsible for staffing and managing the department in strict accordance with Zayo’s core values – providing effective coaching and mentoring, targeted professional and personal development planning, workforce and workload balancing, hiring and terminations as required.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of four (4) years delivery experience in Service Delivery Management, or a key leadership role.

  • Telecom industry experience required.

  • Project Management skills including: Estimating, Scope Management, Budget Management, Time Management, Risk Management, Change Management, Issue/Conflict Resolution, Communication Management, Quality Management, Testing Plans, Training Plans, Team Management.

  • Expertise in MS Project, Visio, MS Office suite, MS Dynamics 365, ServiceNow, Salesforce.

  • Proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time while maintaining an exceptional customer experience.

  • Exceptional leadership skills with a proven ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve high levels of performance.

  • Exceptional interpersonal, organizational and communication skills (verbal and written).

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills, relationship management, client facing, negotiation, team-building, and problem-solving.

  • Ability to anticipate and build contingency plans.

  • Ability to handle stressful situations with perseverance and professionalism

  • Ability to multitask efficiently.

  • Be a "self-starter" committed to customer satisfaction/project delivery and able to respond to rapid change within the business.

Base Salary Range: $97,800 - $122,200 USD/annually, commensurate with experience.
