About the Role

Are you a dynamic communicator who loves getting in the weeds as much as thinking strategically? Do you have deep expertise in public and press relations with experience amplifying brand presence in finance fintech or wealth management industries? We're looking for someone who thrives in a startup environment where you'll be both the strategist AND the executor.

Datalign Advisory is seeking a Manager Public and Press Relations to drive strategic communication initiatives and elevate our brand's visibility across traditional and digital channels. Reporting directly to the CEO and working closely with our CMO and CRO and their teams you'll craft compelling narratives develop impactful media strategies and leverage social media platforms to build a robust online presence. You'll also collaborate closely with technical teams to translate complex data and insights into compelling stories that resonate with diverse audiences.

This is a hands-on leadership role with incredible growth potential - you'll manage and mentor a content creator while rolling up your sleeves to execute alongside your team. We need someone who gets excited about both developing the strategy AND writing the press release someone who can think big picture while obsessing over the details that make communications truly shine. We're also looking for someone passionate about leveraging AI to revolutionize how we create optimize and distribute content - you'll have the opportunity to pioneer innovative AI-driven communication strategies.

You'll play a key role in thought leadership by authoring blogs and partnering with leadership on messaging that aligns with our mission of delivering clarity through data-driven solutions. Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Team Management

• Direct CEO Partnership: Report directly to the CEO providing strategic communications counsel and playing a key role in company-wide strategic decisions
• Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a content creator providing guidance feedback and professional development opportunities
• Strategic Planning: Develop and implement public and press relations strategies that position Datalign Advisory as a leader in finance fintech and wealth management
• AI Innovation: Pioneer the use of AI tools and technologies to enhance content creation media outreach and communication analytics

Hands-On Execution & Content Creation

• Media Relations: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with financial and fintech journalists media outlets and industry influencers
• Content Development: Create and manage a dynamic content strategy including writing and publishing blogs that highlight Datalign's expertise and insights
• Technical Translation: Collaborate with internal technical teams to distill complex data analytics and technical concepts into engaging easily understood messaging for media and the public
• Press & Communications: Oversee the creation and distribution of press releases ensuring consistent messaging across all platforms

Digital & Social Media Management

• Social Media Strategy: Drive engagement through social media channels including strategy development content creation and performance analysis
• Digital Presence: Build and maintain a robust online presence across multiple platforms
• Content Optimization: Apply SEO best practices for blogging and social media to maximize reach and engagement
• AI-Powered Content: Leverage AI tools for content creation personalization and optimization across all digital channels

Innovation & Growth Opportunities

• Thought Leadership: Partner with CEO and leadership team to develop thought leadership opportunities including whitepapers op-eds and speaking engagements
• AI Experimentation: Lead initiatives to integrate cutting-edge AI technologies into our communication workflows and strategies
• Strategic Growth: As the company grows potential to expand into broader marketing and brand strategy responsibilities

Crisis Management & Analytics

• Crisis Communications: Manage crisis communications to protect and enhance Datalign's reputation
• Performance Analysis: Analyze communication efforts using data and metrics to continuously refine and improve strategies
• Strategic Reporting: Provide regular insights and recommendations to leadership based on communication performance data

What We're Looking For

Essential Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Journalism Communications Public Relations or a related field
• Experience: 7-12 years of experience in public relations journalism or corporate communications with a focus on finance fintech or wealth management industries
• Technical Collaboration: Proven experience collaborating with technical teams to translate complex technical concepts into accessible messaging
• Media Relations: Demonstrated success in media relations including established relationships with financial and fintech press
• Digital Expertise: Proven experience managing social media platforms including strategy development and content creation
• Writing Portfolio: Exceptional writing and editing skills with a portfolio of authored blogs articles or other published content
• Leadership Skills: Experience managing and mentoring team members with a collaborative leadership style
