The Purchase Order Manager is responsible for overseeing the purchase order lifecycle for all of AMH and managing the Purchase Order Specialist team ensuring best practices for the purchase order process.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the oversight and management of the AMH purchase order lifecycle including scope, database management (Yardi, CRM & RenoWalk), purchase order creation and final invoice payment to accounts payable.
- Provide troubleshooting support to all levels of the construction team for RenoWalk application/software system.
- Develops, documents and implements procedures and process to maximize efficiencies and ensure accuracy with the purchase order lifecycle.
- Manages a team of purchase order specialists responsible for ensuring general contractors have accurate and timely payments by executing construction purchase orders.
- Liaises with other departments including maintenance, accounts payable, internal audit and property management to maintain cross functional communication regarding best practices management for the purchase order process.
- Serves as a role model to direct reports and trains, coaches, and counsels effectively to build an effective team.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or a combination of education and experience
- Construction, Maintenance or Property Management Background
- Understanding of the industry, including the ability to recommend and implement processes for improved efficiency, service, profitability, and growth
- Advanced PC skills including Excel and Outlook
- Experience with Yardi, CRM and SharePoint
- 3+ years' experience in a supervisory related role preferred
- Relevant experience in a fast paced, multi-project, operational environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Flexible and adaptable
- Ability to interact effectively at all levels
- Ability to be an effective member of project teams
- Proven leadership skills
- Strong customer, quality, and results orientation
