As a QA Manager you will be responsible for the testing of new features and also coordinating the regression testing of existing features during the development cycle, ensuring that through the process the main focus is kept on quality. The manager must be analytical and creative, always adjusting to the changes in software development and schedules. They must work towards ensuring our software, procedures and employees meet the needs of our clients and company audits. The manager also must have excellent communications skills for communicating expectations to employees, providing coaching, and status updates on projects.

This management role is a working manager who will also perform testing to ensure deadlines are met and to stay current on the ever changing software. The team manager will be the go to resource for all team members also ensuring that all members have the resources they need to release a quality product on time. You will be a team contributor working with the automation staff to drive new and updated functional automation tasks, ensuring that progress is being made to replace manual tests with automation.

QA Manager Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement and improve company quality standards
  • Analyze data in order to find areas for growth
  • Responsible for hiring and driving the training for new employees
  • Accountable for motivating, coaching and correcting employees
  • Produce status reports for senior management to demonstrate progress on projects
  • Formulate strategies to increase productivity
  • Review processes to ensure that they meet the standard of external audits (SSLC, SSF, SOC1, SOC2) and current trends
  • Responsible for ensuring that all software released for regression testing has been fully sprint tested and has corresponding test cases for the Regression Testing team can use
  • Validates that software getting released for Regression testing has any required deployment documentations available for use by the Regression team
  • Performing the Quality Control role for the product development team
  • Coordinates with the Automation team on which manual tests can be automated
  • Ability to lead cross functional team meetings

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline, or other Bachelor's degree with equivalent technical QA experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, and have demonstrated experience of effectively engaging with Product Development, IT and Software Ops teams.
  • Solid experience adapting QA methodologies and industry-standards
  • Experience with routinely interfacing with software developers and other team managers on "upstream" process improvements and key activities that lead to more efficient "downstream" QA system testing.
  • Attention to detail including precise and effective documentation and managing multiple priorities simultaneously
  • History of teamwork and willingness to roll up one's sleeves to get the job done and to wear multiple hats
  • A desire to help others be successful and achieve their best

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

  • Microservice testing experience
  • Experience with GCP, AWS, or Azure
  • Experience with CI/CD, github, Intellij, Docker, Maven
  • Experience with Jira & TestRail integration
