Manager, Quote Resource Team
Job Description
The Manager of the Quote Resource Team is responsible for supervising the quote-support function to ensure a timely and accurate flow of quote-related data to field employees.

ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Effectively supervises team members by assigning and delegating accountabilities, and by providing ongoing instruction.
- Responsible for hiring qualified staff, utilizing effective communication and motivational techniques, providing ongoing performance management, rewarding higher levels of performance and by providing effective training and development.
- Ensures team is informed and up to date on all current procedures.
- Ensures the optimal operation of the Quote Support function by developing and implementing all quote support processes and procedures and by continually evaluating processes and procedures to improve function efficiency. Establishes and implements annual department goals with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Ensures that the field's needs are being met by soliciting feedback regularly from the field and by measuring key statistics such as turnaround time and quality of work.
- Oversee the formatting of the quote from customer to the system and vice versa.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree required in Business, Accounting, or related field. Three to five years working in electronics distribution with exposure to the quoting process.
SKILLS & CERTIFICATIONS
- Demonstrated proficiency in the following Microsoft applications (Word, Excel and Outlook).
- Ability to lead and direct staff.
- Exhibit strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast paced, high transaction environment with strong organizational, attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
- 10 key-by-touch and strong data entry skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work in teams with a collaborative interpersonal style.
- Interacts effectively with individuals and groups inside the organization.
- Exhibit strong verbal and written communications skills with the ability to effectively document processes and procedures.
- Exhibit a strong customer service focus with a strong sense of urgency in responding to customer needs.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet required deadlines.
- Solid decision-making skills including ability to analyze impact of decisions before execution.
