Job Description
The Manager is primarily responsible for serving as the content expert for designated Recognition Programs. Managers support efforts to ensure that staff, applicants, consultants, and other interested parties understand the intent and expectations of the standards. They manage the program and publications, apply content knowledge to support core and derivative programs/projects, and maintain current knowledge of the healthcare industry.

Primary Responsibilities:
Content Expertise & Application
- Analyze evaluation materials for performance against program metrics and standards and recommend interpretations to program staff.
- Provide recommendations to the Investigations and Program Integrity unit for review and reconsideration requests.
- Provide consultative support for audits of recognized entities to validate evidence submitted.
- Support efforts led by Product & Customer Operations (PCO) and other units, as needed.
Program Maintenance & Enhancements
- Serve as a program and content champion.
- Review publications during development.
- Research current trends related to assigned content areas to ensure program remains current and relevant.
- Participate in development activities and support the process, as needed
Policy Clarification Support
- Provide direct support to clarify complex questions regarding Standards and Guidelines.
- Prepare written responses to questions for customers and develops content for FAQs or policy updates.
Education & Training
- Participate in the development and presentation of Recognition Programs education and training programs for customers, consultants, evaluators and staff.
Requirements:
- With a bachelor's degree, 3+years of relevant experience is required.
- With a master's degree, 2+ years experience in a closely related field, such as physician practice management, accreditation, health care quality measurement, health care program operations, consulting, etc. is required.
- Working knowledge of health care and operations of health care organizations.
- Strong command of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PPT).
- Discipline.
- Decision making and analytical skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and deadline oriented.
- Ability to manage independent projects.
- Initiative - demonstrates ownership and accountability.
