Job Description

The role of the Recognition Manager is to aid practices pursuing transformation or sustaining Patient-Centered Recognition. The manager will provide support and oversight of the evaluations conducted on practices. Acting as an internal content and subject-matter expert, the manager will resolve content questions that arise from practices during or preparing for evaluations. The manager will assess criteria completion of practices and organizations pursuing recognition. Through virtual interactions, the manager will utilize their skills to assess practice functions, activities, setup, electronic systems, and materials during the review process. The manager will also conduct audits of virtual surveys to assess compliance with NCQA's recognition program requirements and skills of external evaluators.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage ongoing evaluations of practices.
  • Review and analyze survey materials supplied by applicants, evaluate supplied data for performance against program metrics and standards, and recommend scoring to oversight committee.
  • Ensure integrity of data entered into data collection tools.
  • Oversee a set of practices to provide support, clarification and troubleshooting for operational or content-related questions with regards to recognition programs and virtual evaluations.
  • Ensure consistent responses.
  • Conduct virtual audits of physician practices to validate documentation submitted in applications; provide technical assistance to external auditors.
  • Serve as internal expert on one or more areas of evaluation products.
  • Give advice and explanations to other departments on the area of expertise.
  • Operational policies: Develop and maintain policies, procedures and methods for recognition and for management of information throughout the recognition process.


Requirements:

A bachelor's or master's degree in health administration, health information, nursing or public health

At least three years of experience in a closely related field such as physician practice management, accreditation, health care quality measurement, health care program operations with a master's degree OR With a bachelor's degree, at least five years' similar experience.

Facilitation and communication skills, working knowledge of practice clinical operations, understanding organizational context, clinical quality improvement, process improvement, and population management experience, competencies with Microsoft Office, excellent writing and communication skills, customer service experience, project management experience
