Manager, Responsible Investment

The Investment Solutions Development and Management Administrative Department develops new investment solutions and provides support for them. It also helps develop the service offer, manages investment solutions, monitors performance, selects and monitors internal and external portfolio managers and performs market monitoring. In this role, you report to the director of Investment Solutions Development and Management. Your role consists of drawing on your expertise to develop the responsible investment offer for the manufacturing of available investment solutions (mutual funds, ETFs, structured notes, etc.) for all networks (caisse, specialized, partners, partner and external) in Canada. You also provide support to the director. More specifically, you will be required to:

• Work with other divisions to support stewardship goals, enforce investment policies and implement Desjardins's sustainable development and responsible investment priorities.

• Work with other teams in the division to support the commercial performance of responsible investment solutions and serve as expert for the business development teams to increase assets under management

• Develop, implement and track the department's action plan, ensuring alignment with the division's strategic directions and other business sectors, with a focus on performance management.

• Grow the assets under management in our responsible investment solutions.

• Develop and update the marketing strategy for responsible investment solutions.

• Establish management and communication practices that support change management, talent attraction and retention, skills development, employee engagement and diversity, in keeping with Desjardins's values.

• Support the administrative unit's action plan by managing individual and team performance.

• Continuously improve process management.

• Promote Desjardins Group's cooperative values.

• Represent the organization and conduct business intelligence.

What you bring to the table

• Bachelor's degree in finance, administration, sustainable development or in a related field

• A minimum of nine years of relevant experience, with at least 4 years in management 

• Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered

• Knowledge of French is required

• Advanced proficiency of English due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with English-speaking partners, members and/or clients

• Advanced knowledge of financial markets and investment fund products, with a focus on responsible investments

• Advanced knowledge of investment fund regulations 

• Available for trips to different locations in Canada
