The Impact You Will Make
The Grubhub Sales Manager will work closely with the Director of Sales to recruit, motivate, and develop a team of enthusiastic sellers to exhibit sales excellence and perform at high levels each and every day.
You'll lead a team that will be on the front lines of building Grubhub's national restaurant partner network. Your team will research and consult with restaurants, contact the decision makers, and show them how Grubhub can benefit their business. You'll need to be resourceful, persuasive, determined, competitive, and have the ability to easily connect with people from all walks of life.

Responsibilities:
- Develop sales team to execute formal sales process to include: prospecting, selling and closing restaurants to be on the Grubhub network.
- Improve effectiveness and efficiencies with processes, tools, product offerings, and employee development
- Effectively communicating thoughts and ideas with peers and leaders
- Use Salesforce.com to develop regular tracking and reporting of key performance metrics and translate these metrics into implications and recommendations
- Utilize effective coaching strategies and content for team meetings
- Encourage transparency and align broader company initiatives with department goals
- Monitor success outcomes from each team member through the creation of recognition programs, dashboards, and leaderboards
- Coordinate with the Director of Sales to ensure proper communication and alignment across teams
- Be a respected leader while maintaining our collaborative and dynamic team culture
- Set clear expectations and instill accountability for employees across all aspects of their performance
- Cultivate an open sales environment while maintaining competition and self-reliance
- Encourage employees to contribute new ideas and solutions to problems
- Take on projects outside of the scope of day to day responsibilities as needed by the sales department
- Contribute to the sales strategy as it relates to the department as a whole
What You Bring to the Table
- 2+ years of people management experience leading a quota driven sales team
- Have a coach's mentality: you love helping others succeed and strive at pushing your team to its fullest potential
- Proven track record of developing and improving processes, meeting deadlines, paying attention to detail, while remaining organized
- Successfully uses data analytics to solve problems and improve performance
- Experience working in a metrics/data-driven environment
- Have a deep interest and enthusiasm to work for a rapidly evolving company
- Experience with working in a high activity, high volume environment
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work cross functionally
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Must be comfortable with difficult conversations, and showcase an ability to hold yourself and your team accountable at all times
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience with Salesforce
