The Role
Retail IT Site Operations Manager plays a critical role in Green Thumb ' s ongoing growth through New Site Openings/Remodels/Relocations , and M&A activity. This role is the bridge between our retail site activities (NSO/ Relo /Remodel, M&A) to our Technology and IT Operations team . It is the primary point of contact for the oversight of onboarding , integrati ng , opening, and improving service delivery around the strategic retail plans of GTI. This role ensures proper planning and organization around IT components and elements at GTI . This individual will ensure quality implementation and performance around best practices, infrastructure, standard operating procedures (SOPs) , and timely delivery . Key responsibilities will also include developing transition plans and collaborating with key stakeholders within the business, especially on the Retail Store Development team , to deliver results that are consistent and compliant with internal controls. This individual will serve as the primary point of contact for most retail site initiatives. Most importantly, this role must thrive in a fast-paced and evolving business and operations.

Responsibilities
- Lead the development and refinement of IT processes related to new site openings and acquisitions
- Establish and manage robust plans and controls related to new site openings
- Partner closely with Retail Store Development, Retail Operations, and other key internal and external partners related to standing up new sites
- Plan and assign the work related to technology assessments of our newly acquired businesses, including hardware, software, network, website, security, data, infrastructure, and areas of risk and priorities
- Collaborate with key business stakeholders, which include internal department (Technology), external clients, and cross-functional teams (ex., Legal, HR, Accounting, M&A, and Retail/Production Ops) to set an integration plan based on assessment
- Provide recommendations for a timeline of activities based on business impact and benefit in collaboration with the IT Security Manager and IT Operations team
- Establish project teams, oversee timelines, assign responsibilities, and facilitate meetings to ensure timely goal attainment of any changes
- Work closely with retail leaders around project timelines, striving to optimize the workflow of project tasks
- Drive completion of required tasks, whether from the internal team or cross-functional business partners, to stay on target within the expected timeline
- Provide continuous updates to all stakeholders regarding all NSO and M&A efforts and current technology status
- Identify requirements for NSO and M&A technology tasks, such as creating/migrating DNS domains, configuring Exchange/O365 environments, validating users in active directory, and network and hardware cutovers, to be completed by the IT Operations, IT Network, and IT Security teams
- Manage 3 rd party IT vendors as required to complete technology implementation/cutover, including low voltage, network and infrastructure, and additional endpoint and hardware technicians
- Act as an onsite resource, as needed, during the assessment and execution phases of the technology M&A process, including during the store turnover period
- Work with IT Operations leadership to provide support/delegation of support of technology cutover as required, including but not limited to connecting, configuring, and testing hardware, networking equipment, and other onsite endpoints
- Plan on transitioning newly acquired sites to IT Support after the cutover grace period and provide a playbook for the developed site's technology landscape
- Assist with various special projects, new business initiatives, and other ad hoc requirements on behalf of the IT Technology and M&A functions
- Assist with additional implementations, integrations, or other launches, including new technology acquisitions or other internal team-driven initiatives
- Supervise team members in the execution of daily tasks related to NSO and M&A
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- 10+ years of management or technology consultant with project management experience preferred
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of the M&A process, Digital Transformation, Infrastructure, Networking, and Cybersecurity architectures
- Deep knowledge of construction operations and integration of IT tasks within cross-functional projects
- Highly motivated, self-directed, innovative, and able to work independently or among teams with keen judgment, common sense, and resourcefulness
- Possesses a high level of critical thinking
- Proven success in juggling multiple priorities and projects
- Operates with a high level of professionalism and integrity, including dealing with confidential information
- Superior communication and interpersonal skills (verbal, non-verbal, written), with the ability to build relationships at all levels, both internally and externally
- High Degree of intellectual curiosity, sense of urgency, and accountability
- Close attention to detail and accuracy
- Must be able to act independently and execute required tasks while escalating where appropriate
- Must understand and comply with the rules, regulations, policies, and procedures of Green Thumb
- Must have a solid understanding of the Cannabis laws, rules, and regulations and a passion for furthering their understanding and knowledge of the industry and the laws
- Travel: Up to 20% Travel
Working Conditions
- This role may be required to travel and work onsite in our production facilities, retail dispensaries, and various Corporate offices.
Additional Requirements
- Must pass any and all required background checks
- Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry
- Must possess a valid driver's license
- Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
