This Retention & Administrative Manager position works within the Sales Account Management Area, which is part of the Sales Operations organization. This position will manage a team of Account Managers whose core function is to build, strengthen, and maintain strong relationships with Mid-Market, Large, Public Sector and National Account Groups and their respective Sales Agencies, ultimately enhancing sales and customer retention.
The work will entail overseeing operational performance, leading issue identification and resolution to enhance the sales/renewal process. This would include resolving customer pain points and ultimately meeting/exceeding the expectations of our clients and their decision makers.
Important Information:
Candidate must reside in Jacksonville, Florida and/or the direct surrounding areas and have an active FL Health Insurance License or will obtain one within 90 days of hire. Some travel throughout the Jacksonville and direct surrounding areas is a requirement of this role. All travel expenses are covered by the company. Please note, a motor vehicle report will be run as a part of the Recruitment Process.
What Are Your Key Responsibilities?• Directing - Provide sales organization with the support and guidance necessary to effectively meet sales/retention goals.
o Lead and manage processes relative to the implementation of new accounts and retention.
o Lead the effort to achieve sales and retention goals by contributing to the development of Account Management Plans and implementation of tactical Account Service plans for all assigned accounts.
o Support achievement of market goals by contributing to the planning for resources necessary to achieve the goals.
o Facilitate and coordinate multiple projects and tasks with external business partners and internal organizational partners.
o Effectively manage employees while maintaining a high level of employee motivation.
o Identify trends to eliminate barriers/pain points to improve the customer experience through relationship building, facilitating, coordinating, and interfacing with internal and external business partners.• Determining Sales Effectiveness - Measure sales and customer service performance against goals - take corrective action as necessary: Monitor, measure, evaluate, change, modify.
o Identify, monitor, coordinate, manage, and maintain an operation conducive to optimum productivity through the development of department standards, policies, procedures, workflows, quality audits, turnaround time, etc.
o Monitor and evaluate the activities of staff to identify process improvement opportunities.
o Facilitate and support change management according to operational goals.
o Monitor and evaluate the effective use of budgeted resources.• Developing - Recruit, select, hire, educate, train, and develop people (internal and external) and provide them with the necessary tools to effectively meet sales and retention goals. • Designing - determine the overall organizational structure to implement strategy, including roles and responsibilities in the sales Account Management function:
o Align staff and activities to implement and support the Sales Account Management objectives.• Defining - Create strategy and processes to direct the organizational staff to meet established goals.
What Is REQUIRED?• 5+ years related work experience. Experience Details: Preferred Sales/Service in a Health Care or Managed Care Industry• 2+ years direct supervisory/management experience • Related bachelor's degree or additional related equivalent work experience Business Administration, Management or Health Care Management Desirable• Currently active FL Health Insurance License or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire • Florida Driver's License and reliable transportation upon hire• Broad knowledge of Federal Regulations as related to HMO, PPO, traditional and Medicare programs; this includes HIPAA, COBRA, ERISA, etc.• Broad knowledge of:
o State Regulations regarding group, conversion, and retiree benefits
o Group and individual (employee option choices) life insurance• Understanding of group underwriting• Knowledge of BCBSF products, services, and managed care capabilities.
What Is PREFERRED?• Microsoft Office Tools or Suite • Minimum 5 years related industry - Preferred Sales/Service in a Health Care or Managed Care Industry
General Physical Demands
Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally to move objects. Jobs are sedentary if traversing activities are required only occasionally.
Physical/Environmental Activities
Must be able to travel to multiple locations for work (i.e., travel to attend meetings, events, conferences).
May occasionally be exposed to outdoor weather conditions of cold, heat, wet, and humidity.
May occasionally be exposed to outdoor or warehouse conditions of loud noises, vibration, fumes, dust, odors, and mists.
Must be able to occasionally ascend and descend ladders, stairs, or other equipment.

Annualized Salary Range:$74,200 - $120,500
Typical Annualized Hiring Range: $74,200 - $92,700
Final pay will be determined with consideration of market competitiveness, internal equity, and the job-related knowledge, skills, training, and experience you bring.
