The Manager, Revenue Recognition for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for

• Reviewing and evaluating complex sales and lease contracts to assess compliance with lease and revenue accounting in accordance with ASC 606 and ASC 842, company policies, and procedures.
• Recommending best practices for crucial revenue and lease accounting assumptions, estimates and controls.
• Leading critical discussions with internal shareholders and senior leaders regarding revenue recognition and lease accounting.
• Providing knowledgeable insight and articulating our key assumption rationales that support the North American audit process and accompanying memos.
• Managing special projects and analyses

This position is part of the Finance and Accounting department located in Brea, California, and will be hybrid. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.

You will be a part of the Revenue Recognition accounting team and report to the Senior Manager of Accounting, who is responsible for Beckman Coulter's revenue and lease accounting. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Solve complex problems using data analytics.
• Perform monthly and quarterly close procedures related to revenue and lease accounting to ensure company results are reported timely and accurately.
• Build a foundation of the company's business model, including product offerings, customer base, and sales and contract structuring.
• Exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.
• Be a subject-matter expert and provide guidance around ASC 606 and ASC 842.

The essential requirements of the job include:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting or Finance required with long-standing experience.
• Advanced and proficient knowledge of Excel, including automation tools, and the ability to structure and present data productively.
• Advanced PC and documentation skills.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license
• Public accounting firm experience

The salary range OR the hourly range for this role is $120-$135k. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
