As a Sales Development Manager you'll be responsible for managing and motivating a team of highly driven and enthusiastic team of 7-9 SDR's from around the globe. In this role you will be required to develop a winning strategy, set goals, and measure performance against weekly, monthly and quarterly objectives.
We are the largest remote accelerator program in the world and are currently in 50+ countries. Our programs are tuition and equity based, so it's a mix of sales development and admissions. At our organization SD sources, qualifies, and recruits CEO's of early-stage startups to apply to our programs (Pre-Seed through Series A / basically startups between 1-50 employees).
At our organization our SDR Managers are our Admissions Officers, and your SDRs are our Venture Analyst team with a goal of sourcing startup applications - and as mentioned all of our teams have experience in startups, venture, and sales development; in addition to receiving access to our own education accelerator program platform.
To us it's not just about a numbers game, it's about helping startups succeed, giving value to them from the start and showcasing what we can do for them and with them as partners. Ultimately your goal is to build a hybrid team - both knowledgeable in how to convey value and develop applications to get companies to interview for our programs while also delivering long-lasting value to every contact from first contact.
Responsibilities
- Ongoing hiring, mentoring and development of SDRs/Venture Analyst, which includes recruiting, hiring, and training new members.
- Develop the sales, product, and industry skills of each team member.
- Motivate team members through creative incentives aligned to results and KPIs.
- Provide daily, weekly and monthly reporting on volume statistics, lead pipeline, conversation of sales-accepted opportunities and playbook effectiveness.
- Identify and make recommendations for improvement in the areas of process, efficiency, and productivity.
- Partner with senior sales/admissions management, marketing, and other business partners to develop a successful GTM strategy.
- Refine and evolve a scalable, measurable, and predictable process for running and growing a global team.
Requirements
- 2+ years of sales leadership experience in SaaS or early-stage startup sales development (enterprise doesn't count)
- Must have direct experience of building, developing processes for, and managing a team of SDRs/BDRs
- Consistent track record of 100%+ quota achievement as an SDR Manager in the past with your teams
- Proven track record recruiting and building SDR teams as a team lead or Senior SDR or past SDR Manager
- Experienced in hiring and working in a rapidly growing environment / i.e. past experience working in a startup
- High levels of self-motivation, ownership, and adaptability, with the ability to handle multiple responsibilities
