Manager, Sales Velocity

The Manager, Sales Velocity is responsible for accomplishing team objectives, managing staff, setting clear expectations and taking ownership of overall team performance. The manager will aid in the team's career development through regularly scheduled 1:1's and zConnects, PCIP, quarterly reviews and KPI's. This individual will be required to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders, cross-functional teams, and external vendors to solve problems, enable sales performance for a rapidly expanding team and product offering, create operational efficiencies, and deliver successfully against high organizational standards as well as ensure data integrity and positive customer experience(s). The candidate must be a strong leader, and will draw upon solid analytical, critical thinking, and problem solving skills to effectively partner with Sales teams globally.
BACKGROUND: The Order Expert team is responsible for providing an effortless customer experience while managing existing service changes for Zayo customers. The Order Experts facilitate move, add, change and upgrade requests from Sales, Service Delivery, Operations and other departments. They are also responsible for assisting with ad hoc requests related to Service Orders and clean up projects. In addition to these responsibilities, the Order Experts work closely with product teams on renewals and trade-ins.
Responsibilities
- Leads a team of Order Experts who are responsible for driving core processes and providing superior internal customer experiences
- Builds and manages deep, meaningful, and effective relationships with multiple teams throughout Zayo
- Provides governance on data accuracy and ensures integrity of data in Zayo's systems
- Implement and maintain methodologies for tracking and reporting on key business operational metrics
- Understand, utilize, and maximize data in Salesforce.com and other databases
- Managing and Implementing Solutions
- Understand and communicate current and planned work status for the intended audience with appropriate level of details in a consistent and accurate manner
- Manage work to meet commitments. Involvement in prioritization of work, escalation of issues, and development of contingency plans. Facilitate meetings / work sessions.
- Manage changes to baselined requirements through effective application of change control processes and tools.
- Maintaining and Supporting Solutions
- Maintain a relationship with the business to understand changing needs, and continually provide support for updating views/documentation to keep up with those changes
- Understand how processes and system functionality work together to achieve business goals and recommend new and/or changes to existing processes to streamline, automate & integrate, and meet application compliance requirements.
- Project Manage multiple projects and deliverables at once.
- Hold monthly 1:1s to review personal goals and recent month achievements with constructive feedback and plan of action in areas of developmental opportunities
- Collaborate with necessary teams on special projects (company led initiatives)
- Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and setting up training for employees.
- Work closely with product teams within Zayo to stay aligned with product knowledge and entrance criteria
- Develop and present processes related to order expert workflow
- Aid in sales training and onboarding as it relates to order expert processes
- Help the business operations teams drive process improvements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working in Order Expert capacity
- Working knowledge and experience with Salesforce.com and related solutions
- Cross functional Program Management experience
- Outstanding written and verbal communication capabilities
- Aptitude for learning new/different processes within the company to better understand other data architectures and workflows
- Ability to create reports and dashboards within Salesforce.com
- Passion for creating a data driven culture and delivering value
- Ability to coordinate across teams and disciplines to drive process improvements and automation
- Self-starter who is able to tackle work in an unstructured environment, comfortable with ambiguity
- Strong desire for teamwork and working in group settings
- Ability to adapt to change quickly, as well as manage a high-volume workload efficiently and effectively
- A team player who can collaborate naturally on high priority projects and initiatives
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask and prioritize
- Must be highly organized and a strong communicator both written and verbal
- A general understanding of telecom is preferred
Base pay range: $75,000 - $85,000, commensurate with experience
