Job Description Summary:
The Market Development team works on defining the right operating models and cadences for the key commercial execution priorities for 200+ markets PayPal operates in, with a 12 -18 month outlook. The focus areas for this team are:• Develop integrated view on market opportunity and key growth initiatives
• Translate opportunities into end-to-end commercial execution playbooks
• Driving key flywheel partnerships
• Support launch of new value propositions in markets
We are seeking a high-energy and innovative professional coupled with a commercial execution background to join our Growth Markets team focussed on South East Asia. The position reports to the Head of Market Development for PayPal's Growth Markets and will be based out of Singapore located.
The individual will lead Regional and strategic projects that build on PayPal’s strong foundations, deliver measurable value to the company, and help it achieve its vision. The position is highly visible in the organization and involves frequent interaction with senior executives and colleagues at all levels at PayPal , as well as senior external stakeholders.

Job Description:
Core Responsibilities:
- Hold end-to-end view of the SEA portfolio, and define mid-term (12-18 month) commercial priorities for the market
- Serve as a thought partner and advisor to key leaders in the region
- Drive cross-functional collaboration across key functions to enable market outcomes
- Inform relative resource allocations and priorities across portfolio
- Identify new growth opportunities across portfolio
- Lead and take ownership of financial and data analysis in support of commercial priorities
- Drive external partnerships to drive growth of PayPal business in the region
Desired Skillsets:
- Ability to be thought partner and advisor to key business leaders and develop lasting relationships with these stakeholders
- Exceptional strategic and analytical thinking with an excellent ability to put complex ideas into clear frameworks, and to use data to drive strategic objectives and priorities
- Ability to identify strategic topics and their implications and develop strategic insights from quantitative and qualitative data
- Ability to create buy-in and build enthusiasm around strategies/recommendations; High level of influencing /diplomacy skills to balance competing interests and manage multiple stakeholders with complex objectives
- Ability to lead in complex, global organizations
- Strategic project management experience
- Superior communications (verbal, prose, PowerPoint) skills; Concise, clear, and convincing
- Track record of delivering tangible results
- Appetite to learn and comfortable with uncertainty
Required Qualifications:
- High energy, passionate, positive, flexible, and very outcomes focused
- 3-5 years’ experience in strategy consulting, investment banking, and/ or corporate strategy preferred
- MBA or quantitative degree preferred, but not mandatory
- Strategic expertise in at least one of the following areas: banking, payments, retail and online commerce, social networking, and mobile
- Experience in navigating complex organizations
