What is the opportunity?
As a Senior Operations Manager - Security Reference Data and Pricing, you will deliver strategic and tactical direction to ensure overall department performance meets or exceeds established industry and company standards for service, innovation and professionalism. You will interact extensively with various business lines, vendors and functional units within the firm in order to provide superior processing and service support in relation to the setup, maintenance, and quality of reference data on multiple back office systems. This role will also lead and support the identification, prioritization, and implementation of strategic and other required enhancements to owned and related processes, systems, and databases.
Through your leadership skills, you will be responsible for ensuring procedures are accurately executed by employees in alignment with service level agreements, policies and regulatory guidelines. This role also requires a thorough understanding of industry and organizational risks in order to ensure appropriate controls and oversight are in place and consistently applied.

What will you do?
- Lead and manage the department to ensure overall performance meets or exceeds the established industry and company standards for service, innovation and professionalism.
- Establish and maintain credible, professional relationships with clients, internal business lines and external vendors. Solicit and respond to their feedback and gain commitment and support.
- Execute oversight activities for complex exception-based and/or highly specialized department deliverables and processes to ensure controls are effectively managing work quality, mitigating risk and aligned to regulatory adherence
- Participate in Operations, firm, and/or industry initiatives providing process design, expert product knowledge, technical expertise, and problem solving unique to one or more specialty areas. Provide business requirements, UAT testing, and implementation support as required.
- Lead Managers and experienced individual contributors to coordinate and delegate assigned responsibilities ensuring processes are performed according to prescribed regulations and established policies and procedures.
- Manage and oversee team members in the effective and accurate performance of the functions within the department to provide consistent, quality service and minimize risk.
- Manage and support decision making on projects and initiatives related to supported functions in order to ensure momentum and alignment across IT, business, and project resources.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- 4-year degree from an accredited university or equivalent OR High school diploma or equivalent AND 5+ years of securities, banking, technology and/or job specific industry experience
- 5+ years prior securities, banking, technology industry and/or job specific related experience
- Securities license 7 or 99 (or able to obtain license within 120 days)
- 5+ years demonstrated and sound managerial experience leading and managing a team
- Strong Leadership, facilitation, negotiation, verbal & written communication skills to deal with senior executives
- Proven change leadership and change management skills
- Ability to work effectively in situations involving rapid change, shifting priorities, and/or simultaneous demands
Nice-to-have
- Securities or Financial Services Industry regulatory and audit experience
- Strong knowledge and understanding of brokerage/financial operations, vendor management, and/or systems experience
- Demonstrated success in creating, communicating and executing business strategy and related outcomes
- Advanced knowledge related to business lines, business strategy, needs and technology
- Advanced problem identification, analytical and resolution skills required to support escalated issue resolution and/or oversight requirements associated with exception-based complex processes
- Comfortable in a position affording visibility and interface with senior management/executive.
