Your Team

This position is responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of Service Engineering within Baxter Technical Services. The responsibility includes Project Management, System Support, and System Engineering for the global (upstream) Service Engineering function. The main focus is to ensure the "design for service" implementation into all new product developments and sustaining projects as well as most efficient customer support on technical issues on the team.

What you'll be doing

• Develop and implement the short-term and long-term strategy for service engineering to ensure design for service and serviceability in all new product developments and sustaining activities.
• Lead service strategies globally to eliminate service gaps, and to assure high quality service and support for new and existing product platforms.
• Proactively build strategic business plans and account strategies that entice and attract other divisions to work with Technical Services to strengthen our collective contributions to the overall business.
• Identify and drive new business development projects through the team and through direct relationships with key customers in partnership with Commercial, Sales, Marketing, Operations and Safety, Quality, and Regulatory.
• Drive process improvements while standardizing processes and tools across the different teams, using continuous improvement methodologies, benchmarking of enterprise-wide call centers, and multi-functional teamwork.

What you'll bring

• Master's degree from an accredited college or university with a preference for a master's degree in a scientific or engineering subject area.
• 10+ years of experience in technical service in global organizations within the MedTech or life science industry
• 5 years of leadership experience with P&L responsibility.
• Experience providing work direction to others as supervisor, peer mentor, team lead, etc.
• Proven ability to make sound decisions, build realistic plans, and run execution, including crafting and implementing resource deployment strategies.
• Outstanding relationship building skills with the ability to prioritize, negotiate, and influence decisions.

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all our employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. To that end, this position has a base salary range of $80,000 to $180,000 plus an annual incentive bonus. The above range represents the expected base salary range for this position. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in the role, business line, and geographic/office location.
