Discovery Education is looking for a Manager, Social Impact Marketingto join our CEP team. You will drive awareness, engagement, and usage of our social impact partnership content in line with marketing plans. The Manager will deliver flawless marketing implementation and work across multiple internal and external stakeholders to support marketing program goals.

The right candidate for this dynamic position has a growth mindset, strong organizational skills, thrives in a fast-paced environment. The focus for this role is shared between client-facing work and managing tactical marketing efforts to drive strategies that build program engagement and usage in support of partnership deliverables, expansion, and renewal. This role requires the ability to think strategically, manage multiple programs at one time, connect the dots and collaborate cross functionally. The Manager, Social Impact reports to the Director, Social Impact Marketing.

This role will sit in our Charlotte headquarters with a hybrid schedule (2-3 days in office).

What You Will Do

  • Lead marketing briefing process with account lead to inform marketing strategies.
  • Facilitate internal brainstorms to meet partner program briefs and ensure teams are working to meet deadlines.
  • Work across the Marketing team to integrate our program content into existing content strategies and plans.
  • Lead development of partner facing marketing plans.
  • Participate in client meetings to present marketing strategy, plans/tactics and performance.
  • Act as primary marketing focal point for account leads and coordinate marketing activation across marketing services teams to ensure flawless execution fulfilment of program goals and timely reporting.

  • Collaborate cross functionally to deliver measurable program reports with focus on maximizing educator engagement as a key driver for program success.
  • Work with internal teams to include partnership visibility through internal DE Direct-to-Teacher Channels (i.e., Professional Development events, industry conferences, internal DE staff development, etc.) during relevant key milestones and in line with existing content calendar.
  • Responsible for tracking marketing plan budget and spends of individual programs.
  • Proactively maintain a thorough understanding of Discovery Education and the Social Impact team's overall business approach, goals and strategic vision for the future of education, and the private sector's role within the mission to reimagine teaching and learning.

Requirements

  • 5-7+ years' work experience with combination of marketing and client-facing work.
  • Bachelor's Degree required or equivalent work experience.
  • Ability to manage up, down and sideways.
  • Demonstrate team player mentality and exceptional leadership.
  • Flawless organization skills and ability to inspire others to act and fulfill Discovery Education's mission.
  • Strong client services and marketing strategy experience.
  • Driven self-starter with the ability to do what needs to be done without being micromanaged.
  • Ability to manage/prioritize multiple tasks and competing timelines.
  • Demonstrate a problem solving/solution-oriented approach.
  • Excellent written and oral communication as well as strong interpersonal skills.
  • Track record of developing marketing campaigns from idea to execution.
  • Experience with Microsoft suite, Looker, Airtable, Vidyard, Gainsight and Asana a plus.
  • Legal right to work in the United States.
