Manager, Software Development
Job Description
As a Software Development Manager you will:
- Manage, coach, and develop a team of individual contributor engineer roles
- Manage allocation of people and financial resources
- Work across departments to make sure project objectives are met
- Helping to set and communicate goals for the team
- Help engineers develop their technical and professional skills
- Manage performance and guide career development of your team
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to your team
- Create an environment where innovation and collaboration thrive
- Helping to screen, hire and onboard new engineers
Qualifications:
- 3 or more years of experience managing and developing a team of Software Engineers
- Passionate about mentoring team members
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Creative leader with good problem-solving skills
- Experience collaborating with vendors and internal partners
- Experience with agile projects
- Experience with enterprise software development life cycle
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. national security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with geographically distributed teams
- Proficiency with Jira
- Experience with Scrum / Kanban

The location(s) for this role include one or more of the following states (CA, CO, CT, NV, WA) and/or remote. The base compensation range for the role in any of those locations is $114,100 - $211,900. This role may also be eligible for an Annual Bonus based on a combination of enterprise and individual performance. Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay is one part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs.
