The Role

We are seeking an experienced Software Engineering Manager to join our team. The Software Engineering Manager is a leadership role that plays an important part in ensuring the success of software development teams. As the Software Engineering Manager, you will directly manage 1-2 teams of engineers that work on web and mobile applications. You will also collaborate closely with other team members, Product Managers, QA, and DevOps.

What You Will Do

• Lead a team of 5-12 engineers in the development of web and mobile applications 
• Identify technical issues and coordinate with stakeholders to resolve them
• Recruit new engineers and create a team culture that is focused on growth
• Establish clear performance standards, and ensure goals are met
• Monitor team progress and ensure deadlines are met
• Provide career mentorship and coaching to engineers
• Collaborate with other managers to create and implement processes to ensure development best practices are followed

• Proven track record of leading and managing a mobile engineering team
• Experience in developing mobile applications using Xamarin
• Ability to coach and provide constructive feedback to engineers
• Positive attitude and ability to motivate the team
• Ability to identify and resolve technical issues
• Experience in recruiting, hiring and onboarding new engineers
• Ability to create a team culture focused on growth

What You Need to Succeed

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
• 5+ years of software development experience with 3 years of mobile application design and development
• 2+ years of experience managing software engineering teams
• Strong management and leadership abilities
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of the Xamarin platform, development practices and cloud technologies 
• Experience with Agile methodologies and common development practices. 
• Experience with iOS and Android mobile device platforms 
• Experience with source control systems (Gitlab, Bitbucket, GitHub) 
• Experience with CI/CD technologies (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, etc.)

Compensation

The salary range for this position is: $122,000 - $165,500. You may also be eligible for a discretionary bonus. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent on your skills, experience, qualifications, and location, as well as applicable employment laws.

Location

This is a permanent, full-time, fully remote position. Employees living in Indianapolis, IN are welcome to work from our company headquarters. We do not offer Visa sponsorship or relocation assistance at this time.
