In this pivotal role, you'll guide teams in developing sophisticated software solutions for our application platform, integrating cutting-edge third-party software. Your innovative solutions will drive growth and efficiency for our internal and external customers. You'll also champion the development and maintenance of a crucial automated regression test suite, ensuring high-quality software across multiple teams. Responsibilities:

  • Lead two dynamic teams focusing on Planning and Quality Automation, fostering an environment where collaboration and innovation thrive
  • Collaborate closely with product owners, business stakeholders, and technology leaders to craft and execute strategic roadmaps that drive business success
  • Cultivate a culture of trust and empowerment within the teams, facilitating an environment where every member can excel
  • Champion change initiatives, implementing organizational decisions effectively while utilizing data-driven insights to guide informed project executions
  • Drive continuous process enhancements, striving to streamline operations and eliminate inefficiencies
  • Collaborate with other engineering leaders and product teams to troubleshoot and resolve challenges faced by the teams
  • Define and communicate a robust strategy aligning with business objectives, ensuring product stability and scalability
  • Provide crucial support to other teams during high-priority incidents and in production support, ensuring a seamless operation
  • Foster a culture of creativity and boundaryless collaboration, ensuring the team's focus aligns with delivering on our objectives
  • Empower team members by aligning their passions with their potential, consistently providing feedback, developmental opportunities, and acknowledging achievements

Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience working on a software engineering team progressing in complexity and responsibility
  • 3+ years managing team(s)
  • Experience delivering business critical software functionality
  • Experience working in a product-led organization and applying lean principles to product development
  • Experience working in large scale distributed applications
  • Experience delivering software in an agile environment
  • Experience managing a variety of systems integrations, including custom and COTS technologies utilizing APIs
  • Experience communicating status and shaping strategy with a senior leadership audience
  • Bachelor's degree or a minimum of 4 years of equivalent work experience and a high school diploma/GED

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in computer science/software engineering
  • Experience with ERP, TMS, Supply Chain Management or Retail systems
  • Experience with transportation shipment and capacity planning and optimization systems
  • Experience managing vendor deliverables as part of an overall project
  • Strong strategic orientation/planning, business savvy, critical thinking and problem-solving skills and ability to evaluate broad impacts of work
  • Effective and flexible communication skills with the ability to articulate complex solutions in a relatable way and ability to communicate project plans and timeline of deliverables
  • Strong interpersonal skills including ability to build trust, influence, and foster relationships with diverse team members; ability to leverage relationships to drive consistency of approach and ensure delivery
  • Ability to lead, motivate and inspire cross-functional teams
  • Ability to connect the work the team is doing to strategic business priorities
  • Experience leading through change and resolving conflict
