Manager, Software Engineering

Summary
Enterprise Technology Solutions is currently seeking an innovative and results-oriented leader to lead and manage our technologies within our Enabling Digital Solutions team at OCC. This individual is responsible for the development and delivery of business features on the low-code platforms maintained within the team's portfolio. This person will be responsible for leading the platform team that will work with other teams of software & systems engineers, business systems analysts and application architects who plan, design, develop, test and deploy technology solutions at OCC. The candidate must be able to solve problems creatively, communicate effectively, and proactively engage in technical decision making to achieve these objectives. This individual will be a team player and work well with business, technical and non-technical professionals in an agile environment.
Responsibilities

• Manages the delivery of complex projects which may involve multiple systems
• Provides leadership to solution development teams, and proactively engages with teams to promote process and organizational improvements that enhance overall effectiveness, especially drive Agile & Scaled Agile methodologies
• Managing technical experts and architects to resolve complex technical challenges while also ensuring compliance of OCC software development lifecycle
• Guide the transformation of complex business requirements into specifications that will increase understanding of Why & What part of business requirements to the development team
• Ensures system, technical and product architectures are aligned with business objectives
• Develop short- and long-term strategy for enterprise system objectives with the portfolio stakeholders
• A team player who assists the team as required to achieve collective goals & delivery milestones including knowledge-share

Supervisory Responsibilities

• Build and lead a high performing team with open-mindedness, that is visionary and results oriented. Setting goals for the work group, developing organizational capability, and modeling how we work together
• Partner with other Agile teams on a shared Portfolio

Are the essental duties of this job required to be performed in an OCC office location? No
Qualifications & Experience

• [Required] 8+ years in implementing Service Delivery solutions, can offer customers real-world examples and provide best practice solution options
• [Required] 5 years of relevant work experience implementing IT, Security and/or GRC solutions
• [Required] Excellent oral and written communication skills
• [Required] Ability to create and present executive level presentations
• [Required] Curious and adept in developing understanding about technology including industry best practices, platform capabilities, and architecture principles to help drive team productivity
• [Preferred] Work experience in the Financial Services industry

Technical Skills & Background

• [Required] Knowledge or familiarity with cloud-based technology management solutions (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira, Workday, Oracle Cloud, etc.)
• [Required] Knowledge of Agile Development framework and effective SCRUM techniques

Certifications

• [Preferred] ITIL Certification
• [Preferred] Agile or SAFe Certification

Education & Training

• [Required] BS degree in Management Information Systems or related field
• [Preferred] Masters degree in Information Systems
