As an Engineering Manager at Lucid Software you will work with our engineering teams to develop our world-class web applications. You have the technical expertise to dive into our web applications, Lucidchart and Lucidspark, when needed and push the boundaries of what is possible in a browser. Our applications are powerful visualization products that use state of the art tech like Angular, TypeScript, Scala, and AWS to craft a user experience on the web that is superior to desktop alternatives. Lucid engineers are passionate about new technologies and have a demonstrable track record of success in individually delivering features and products. Engineering managers also manage project goals, contribute to product strategy, and help develop engineers. Building teams to deliver reliable, scalable, and high-performance products requires extraordinary technical expertise, a sound understanding of the fundamentals of Computer Science and practical experience.

We are looking for extraordinary engineers who have experience leading teams that build creative applications that customers love. You will have a significant influence on our strategy by helping to define product features, drive the system architecture, and spearhead best practices to create a quality product. • Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software
• Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables
• Develop high-caliber engineering teams
• Drive engineering wide KPIs and Initiatives

Requirements: 

• BS Degree in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
• 5 years industry experience
• Experience leading successful engineering teams
• Experience building scalable systems
• Experience building large products or applications. SaaS applications a bonus

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in TypeScript or JavaScript
• Experience with Scala or Java
• Experience with MySQL or other relational database
• Experience with AWS or other cloud-computing platforms
