In this role, you will work closely with the Engineering, Product Management, and Strategy teams to define and execute the vision to provide instantaneous access to financial data from the investment management ecosystem that is integrated seamlessly into the Ridgeline experience.

You will deliver a market-leading data pipeline and transformation services, cultivate a thriving partner and application ecosystem, and facilitate the expansion of Ridgeline’s delivered integrations.

What will you do?

  • Guide technology decisions for data pipelines that consume financial data and tie the Ridgeline platform into the investment management ecosystem
  • Deliver a data network that connects hundreds of financial institutions for data aggregation, reporting, analytics, and automated fund reconciliation
  • Lead the analysis and recommendation of critical Build vs. Buy vs. Partner decisions to ensure a holistic, scalable solution with a long-term view in mind
  • Take into account all users and use cases of the data and integration services when making key product and technical decisions
  • Have end-to-end responsibility for technical facets and flow of data in a complex system, including the product, infrastructure, security, and quality
  • Coach, mentor, and manage engineers that are responsible for delivering a high-performing, secure enterprise data and integrations service
  • Provide leadership for the entire software development process:  from requirements and design reviews to technology selection and implementation through delivery and support in production
  • Engage in career and performance discussions that align business objectives, key results, and career goals
  • Leveraging organizational design methodology, managing resource allocations for product engineers, and tracking the completion of deliverables for each team
  • Impact a developing tech stack based on modern front-end frameworks and cost-efficient utilization of AWS back-end services
  • Build a diverse technical team while fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment
  • Ensure close relationships in a multi-location organization, connecting our product and engineering teams

Preferred skills and  experience:

  • 3+ years in a software engineering management position or similar function, with a history of architecting and designing new products and technologies in the cloud
  • A degree in Computer Science, Information Science, or a related discipline
  • Clear and crisp communicator, and an ability to lead and influence both with and without authority
  • Ability to focus on short-term deliverables while maintaining a big-picture perspective
  • Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and architectural patterns
  • Experience developing and/or utilizing ETL (Extract, Transform, Load), integration, and cloud data migration technologies
  • Deep understanding of GraphQL and REST API concepts, patterns, and technologies
  • Familiarity with API security, governance, observability, and test automation
  • Experience with complex data problems and near real-time delivery of changing data

Nice to haves:

  • Experience with investment management applications, accounting, and performance data
  • Familiarity with embedded integration platforms (Flatfile, Workato,  Tray, etc.)
  • Comfortable working with Slack, JIRA/Confluence, AWS, UI design tools, and Github
  • Accustomed to working in industries with regulatory and compliance requirements including maintaining the reliability and consistency of historical data
