As a hands-on leader, you'll help the team fulfill technical, operational, and business requirements. You will guide teams to build a long term durable architecture to enable delivery of scalable software products. The ideal candidate will solve complex technical challenges while delivering great consumer products focused on developer enablement and inspiration to build incredible experiences.

Required Skills

Manager, Software Engineering - Presence Platform SDK Responsibilities:

• Help build and lead development of our SDK and Tooling for Presence Platform
• Work with product management, experience developers, developer relations to understand the developer need and build the SDK and intelligent tooling that can enable developers to produce magical experiences for VR and AR devices
• Drive an excellent customer experience, continually raising the bar on functionality, usability, and simplicity
• Champion engineering and operational excellence, establishing metrics and process for regular assessment and improvement
• Establish solid project framework and excellent development processes
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to both your team members and your project peers
• Set clear expectations and create a positive work environment based on accountability, in collaboration with the engineering and management teams
• Communicate and collaborate effectively with global software engineering teams
• Operate strategically and tactically. Work on strategy and help set direction while staying on top of the day to day software development

Minimum Qualification

Minimum Qualifications:

• Effective communication skills
• BS/MS in Computer Science or a related technical field
• Minimum 2 years experience managing managers and 5+ years managing technical teams
• Experience thriving in a dynamic environment where goals and requirements may be changing
• Experience shipping production quality software in C/C++
• Professional experience architecting, developing, and shipping software products and/or services
• Experience managing cross-functional engineering teams
• Experience in building and shipping SDK
• Experience with game engines codebases such as Unity, Unreal or others

Preferred Qualification

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in 3D Computer Vision
• Experience in Machine Learning
• Experience generating scene graphs
• Experience delivering APIs to developers
