Job Description

We are looking for a Manager, Solution Engineering to lead a team of Solution Consultants that support Enterprise Software. You will report to our Vice President, Enterprise Software Solution & Value Consulting, focusing on increasing sales and expanding our reach in the software space. This role is remote-friendly, however you will need to be comfortable with traveling 25%-50% of your time.

Essential Functions:

  • Lead a team of Solution Consultants that support the sale of Enterprise Software products to existing and net new customers, with an emphasis on achieving regional annual sales targets.
  • Provide guidance to professional individual contributors and support individual contributors.
  • Lead the efforts of the Solution Consultants on your team to align them with opportunities based on subject matter expertise, availability, and rotation through a variety of Sales Executives, regions, products and for mentoring and mentorship for them and other Solution Consultants.
  • Reinforcement of the ESSE Customer Engagement Process, Force Management Selling Principles, and MEDDICC application and involvement in every pursuit.
  • Maintain CRM system hygiene for you and your team relative to proper tracking of assignments and activities, and managing proper opportunity record keeping, artifact collection, and details associated with each pursuit.
  • Qualify Opportunities for pursuit and SC assignment by collaborating with the ESSE team, management, partners, and services organizations.
  • Ensure each team member has clear goals toward personal continuous improvement and career path planning, and that those goals complement the broader teams' priorities for subject matter expertise to support going to market in direct sales pursuits.
  • Hire, coach, and enable new team members following team expansion or headcount goals.
  • Drive a 'Value First' approach to all sales engagements, including identifying quantifiable outcomes for customers, and recommending involvement of Value Consulting services in all sales pursuits.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent relevant years of experience
  • Legal authorization to work in the US is required- we will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, not now or in the future, for this job opening.
  • Ability to travel 25 to 50%

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in consulting and implementation of ERP, MES, QMS, CRM and other Enterprise Software systems.
  • Experience delivering on strategy and exceeding results on software-based solutions.
  • 5+ years of experience coaching and leading pre-sales teams in the software space.
  • Experience leading teams through complex sales cycles to support technical and commercial capabilities required by the customer.
  • Experience interpreting and applying understanding of key financial indicators to improve business decisions.
