Manager, Sourcing

The Manager of Sourcing will develop and drive the long and short term strategies for the sourcing department. The Manager of Sourcing is responsible for a team of specialists and for driving the management of both agent and supplier relationships to ensure: 1) execution of proprietary designs, 2) consistent product quality, 3) on-time delivery, 4) maximized profitability and 5) minimized risk. The Manager is responsible for professional growth and development of direct reports.
• Develop and drive divisional supplier strategies that promote collaboration, relationships, mitigate risk, minimize costs, drive design goals and meet the business needs. 15%
• Establish sourcing processes and procedures to support management of supplier performance evaluation, supplier placement strategy, time and action calendars, cost negotiations, analysis of profitability, and pre and post production. 15%
• Create cost impact calculators and capacity plans to support negotiation strategies. Develop tools to enhance the process of multi bids, resourcing and rebids to ensure cost saving goals and IMU targets for the division are met. 15%
• Foster expertise, leverage industry knowledge and drive execution within the team: supplier tiering and rationalization, cost engineering, country of origin diversification, macroeconomic monitoring, etc. 15%
• Responsible for senior leader communication both internally and externally on any issues and on-going updates as it relates to supplier performance, sourcing strategies, on time delivery and production & quality issues. 10%
• Drive supplier performance management. Create and implement supplier scorecard leverage best practices to educate teams on assessment procedures and continuous improvement efforts within supply base. 10%
• Coach and develop direct reports by providing actionable feedback on successes performance opportunities. 10%
• Develop and drive product development calendar to ensure critical milestones are on track. Hold internal and external partners accountable for missed milestones. 5%
• Travel domestically and internationally for product development, cost negotiations, production, new market/supplier exploration and staff development. 5%

Education:

Minimum- 4 year/ Bachelor Degree

Experience:

Minimum- 6+ years in Merchandising including Product Development and Global Sourcing. Extensive travel experience required, specifically to factories around the world. 2+ years managing direct reports.

Preferred- Experience leading a team. Passion for continuous improvement.
