This opportunity supports the Domestic and Direct Import areas of sourcing for Walmart. You will report to Director of Global Sourcing - Surety of supply at Walmart in Bentonville, Arkansas. What you'll do:

• Manage the sourcing process to build Walmart Sourcing and Merchant strategies for Domestic and Direct Import Surety of supply.
• Manage the oversight of sourcing and operational issues.
• Develop relationships.
• Lead identified sourcing opportunities to ensure capability and execution.
• Guide partners and suppliers to ensure product quality, delivery and price goals.
• Ensure follow up of all sourcing activities with teams and suppliers.
• Analyze data and compile reports.
• Negotiate products and price and develop alternatives.
• Partner with Merchandise Quality Engineer as problems arise related to quality.
• Share component costing information to Product Development to ensure product is produced affordably and safely.
• Present solutions that mitigate risk.
• Guide and route suppliers with different retail markets.

• Knowledge working in the retail industry specifically in sourcing and merchandise.
• A desire to maintain relationships with merchants and teams.
• An understanding of trade and political issues of the country regarding sourcing proposals.
• An understanding of buying goals, product specification.
• Regional or global experience in sourcing.
• Understanding specifications, components, suppliers, and construction.
• Creating alternative solutions.
• Managing large amounts of data.
• Establishing efficient processes.

Desired Experience

• Bachelor's degree in related field. 3+ year's experience in retail, manufacturing or sourcing industry.
• 7 or more year's experience in retail or major brand, or importer/agent serving major retail customers.
• A curious mindset and interest to solve problems.

The annual salary range for this position is $70,000.00-$130,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications...

3 years' experience in sourcing.
Bilingual in English and one or more language used to transact business in assigned country.
Project Management certification.
