Manager, Spread Lending Capital Markets

Summary Statement

The Manager, Spread Lending Capital Markets will lead efforts to ensure the spread lending program is delivered successfully.

Organization                                                             

The Manager, Spread Lending Capital Markets will report to the VP, Institutional and New Markets and is the key liaison and coordinator for F&G’s spread lending programs.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Responsible for program monitoring and ensuring that F&G maximizes its available opportunities in spread lending markets.
• Responsible for direct communication with investment banking teams to gather market color, understand opportunities and risks, and proactively consider forward looking strategy.
• Works directly with the other members of the Spread Lending team to ensure delivery of program reporting, risk assessments, profitability metrics and additional key program information.
• Proactively works with associated business units to keep the program running smoothly, address organizational questions, and evolve the programs capabilities.
• Proactively works with the investments teams on relevant Spread Lending opportunities, risks, data concerns and other related issues in order to optimize the program.
• Proactively works with the risk team to ensure proper evolution and monitoring of the Spread Lending program.
• Coordinates activities and communications internally to F&G and with key spread lending partners.
• Works with Finance and Spread Lending actuarial support to ensure appropriate modeling and financial projections to support F&G capital and GAAP/STAT income planning.
• Supports F&G communications to relevant stakeholders (e.g.; FNF, regulators, rating agencies) on Spread Lending plans and performance.
• Supports adherence to program governance and operational guidelines, including tax compliance, investment guidelines, and liquidity guidelines. 
• Supports the VP of Institutional Markets and engage in other Institutional and New Markets activities as directed and as time allows.

Experience & Education Requirements

• Minimum of five to seven years of financial services and/or fixed income experience required
• Three to five years of spread lending experience desired (funding agreements, FHLB borrowing, etc.)
• Prior insurance expertise and experience highly desired
• Prior experience in dealing with investment banks preferred
• BA/BS in accounting or finance required
• CFA or MBA highly desired
• Solid knowledge of corporate finance and company valuation methods
