What You’ll Do
Come join the Customer Engineering team that manages the technical account for SSD and NAND solution (e.g. eMMC, UFS and other application) customers in CA region related to Enterprise, Datacenter and SMB (Small & Medium Business) to maintain the close customer engineering relationship and SSD and NAND solution product technology leadership to maximize sales contribution.
Create global demand by identifying business opportunities, providing Samsung SSD and NAND Solution technologies and solutions for future designs for the specific assigned accounts, and managing all technical related issues.
Location: Hybrid, working onsite at our San Jose, CA headquarters 3 days a week, with the flexibility to work remotely the remainder of your time.

- Identify all SSD and NAND Solution design-in opportunities & provide the best solutions for the customer(s) including technology, specific application type, cost competitiveness, market demand/sector, lifecycle, global qualification activities, and technical data in order to secure maximum number of design-wins.
- Manage progress of design-in and handling requests from customer for qualification.
- Defining specification, Accurate understanding requirements.
- Managing project activities and action items from customers.
- Well understanding customer’s working process.
- Deliver right solution or finding alternative with engineering team.
- Tight/Precise managing sample handling and planning.
- Technology, specific application type, market demand/sector, lifecycle, global qualification activities and technical data in order to secure maximum design-wins.
- Future product planning discussion and alignment in new demand opportunity.
- Manage the customer(s) to assure that a technology leadership is maintained and sales are enabled and maximized. Act as an escalation path on occasions where there are (internal or external) obstacles impeding key design wins.
- Provide strategic input to Korea HQ regarding the SSD industry or application technology trend in order to create new product offerings or to improve the R&R and the strategic partnership with the customer(s).
- Visit and interact directly with the customer(s) to maintain customer product roadmap updates. Track and report project details, design-in and qualifications plan as well as the competitive analysis in roadmap, process technology and qualification status.
What You Bring
- Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering with 10+ years of relevant industry experience, or equivalent and 7 years memory/storage engineering or related experience preferred or Masters in Electrical Engineering with 8+ years experience, or PhD in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years experience.
- Prefer exceptional people skills and the ability to work directly with customers.
- Prior Flash NAND or Storage (SSD/HDD) engineering experience as well as direct communication interface experience with the customer(s) is desired.Â
