Job Brief:

The Manager, Strategic Account's primary role is to attract, lead, coach and develop a team of quota-bearing associates to drive revenue and retention for Gartner Digital Markets.

What You Will Do:

  • Accurately forecast performance and achieve/overachieve financial and retention targets
  • Develop and execute strategy to achieve business results tied to overall sales strategy
  • Identify and leverage leading indicators to drive the right business outcomes
  • Attract, grow, and retain top talent within a remote-location Client Success team
  • Drive high activity by conducting team prospecting and client strategy sessions with direct reports
  • Ensure that each team member can navigate complex organizations, understand client priorities and maintain C-level/senior relationships
  • Provide leadership through effective communication of the global strategy
  • Coach and develop direct reports on a regular basis
  • Improve the team's success through clear objective setting, effective leadership and mentorship
  • Take ownership for own professional growth and support the team's professional growth
  • Trial new creative programs and highlight bright spots to replicate at scale
  • Drive CRM accountability and pipeline management

What You Will Need:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3-5 years consultative sales experience in account management or client facing roles, preferably in technology services or software
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor and motivate sales associates
  • Strong business acumen, forecasting skills, influencing skills and interpersonal skills (to share knowledge with a team to support the growth strategy within sales).
  • Strong demonstration of intellect, drive, executive presence, sales acumen, handling others
  • Able to solve complex problems and successfully manage ambiguity and unexpected change.
  • Be consistent at delivering results through perseverance, humility, and a positive outlook in the face of challenges.
  • Proven experience building excellent client relationships, offering value added, insightful and strategic vision into their business
  • Prior management experience strongly preferred
