Manager, Strategic InsightsÂAs the Manager, Strategic Insights you will be a critical member within the Customer Experience Operations (CX Ops) org - responsible for building, managing, and continuously improving the reporting and insights framework used by CX Ops and its internal and external partners. Your role will flex between spearheading data-driven initiatives, owning ongoing reporting cycles, and mentoring data science and analyst experts. You will report to our Sr Manager, Operations. We offer a flexible working schedule and are open to remote and local applicants.
The Impact you will make
- Develop and mentor a best-in-class team responsible for fueling the business of Customer Experience through all things data and reporting, including: strategic insights, financial analysis, business analysis, executive reporting, and data scienceÂ
- Build and continuously improve the strategic reporting & analytics framework as it pertains to Customer Experience and its interactions with internal and cross-functional partners, including but not limited to internal dashboards, FP&A tooling, business analysis, and ad hoc reporting, research, and automation
- Develop deep partnerships with CX Leadership and Kajabi’s centralized analytics team to scope, request, and manage the future of CX analytics dashboards (Looker)
- Propose, lead, and drive large-scale, analytics and insights projects (including clarifying the opportunity, defining analysis, leading data collection, assessing findings and synthesizing learnings) to drive high impact across Kajabi’s key goals and objectives
- Create and present executive-quality presentations and write ups using data visualization and storytelling best practices that promote cross-functional alignment, drive data literacy, pitch new investments, share progress and impacts, or gain buy-in
- Build strong relationships with cross-functional and CX partners to gain a deep understanding of the business in order to consult, analyze, and support strategic management decisions and planning through predictive and analytical insights
- In partnership with CX leadership, develop, standardize, and oversee executive reporting dashboards, insights, and core metrics for the Customer Experience department - serving an audience of managers, directors, C-Suite, and board members
- In partnership with CX Engineering & Tech, champion, research, drive buy in for, and manage implementation of analytics tooling investments
- Provide additional leadership, reporting, or ad hoc support as needed
Attributes for Success
- 5+ years of experience in business analytics or related field
- 2+ years of people management experience
- 1+ years of experience in or in partnership with a Customer Experience department
- Masters Degree or equivalent self-study in analytics, statistics, or related field
- Advanced skills in managerial analytics (e.g. Excel, Google Suite)
- Communication -- Ability to communicate complex ideas (distill nuanced circumstances & drive to clarity) both orally and in written formats; strong writing and presentation skills
- Ownership -- Sense of ownership and intrinsically motivated to drive to meaningful results
- Critical Thinking -- Highly analytical & strategic problem solver who is comfortable using frameworks & data to help structure the team's thinking & solve multi-faceted problems
- High EQ -- Ability to pull together opposing viewpoints and agendas in service of our shared mission of empowering our customers
- Influential – Easily move others to action (with or without direct authority) by planning, motivating, organizing and influencing work being done
- Interpersonal – Innate ability to channel different points of view; Able to establish and maintain excellent relationships and credibility quickly; Create team atmosphere with internal staff while achieving key objectives
- Project Management -- Ability to prioritize & organize effectively and manage multiple projects and assignments involving numerous internal and/or external partners
- Tech Savvy -- Strong proficiency with program management & organizational technology (e.g. Slack, Monday.com, Jira, Google Suite)Â
Bonus if you have
- A basic understanding of backend web technologies and familiarity with MVC design patterns (you don't need to be a developer but some coding experience is highly desirable)
- An understanding of software development lifecycle (or you are beyond enthusiastic to learn)
- Git and GitHub experience for version control
- An understanding of HTTP
- A good understanding of HTML, CSS, and Javascript
- A good understanding of DNS and SSL
- A good understanding of email deliverability and factors that impact itÂ
