PURPOSE STATEMENT

The Manager, Strategic Insights - Market & Customer, manages research initiatives and projects for the United States/Canada (USC) region to drive business outcomes. Delivers insights to enhance decision making across various levels and functional groups of the organization and elevate the customer experience

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/OUTCOMES

Proactively provide research to uncover insights across the 5C's of consumers, customers, categories, competitors, and culture to inform business strategy, innovation, demand creation and business/marketing decision making:

Consumer Insights:

Identify consumer needs and insights to inform marketing and business decisions.

Uncover key consumer purchase motivations, habits, and practices via qualitative / quantitative research.

Leverage demand space data set and insights tools to inform sustaining and customer specific innovation.

Category, Segment and Customer Insights:

Market assessment

Conduct industry monitoring, including retail / foodservice performance, and contribute to economic outlook.

Provide insight on strategic customer marketplace performance.

Category market sizing and competitive intelligence

Collect and share VoCC and operator insights back into the organization.

Deliver strategic insights to enhance the customer experience, including through new models.

Create and execute customer engagement plan for top 20 customers in collaboration with customer marketing

Innovation

Partner with category teams to provide insights that support sustaining innovation and new product launch including discovery, concept development, concept testing and optimization, sensory and launch.

Participate in joint innovation with customers through delivering trends and screening concepts.

Deliver insights that address business objectives through:

Collaborating with key stakeholders across the USC region in planning and executing initiatives to deliver insights that align with business priorities.

Identify, test, and share new capabilities and tools to upskill associates and deploy insights / self-serve tools.

Gathering and synthesizing data and providing a concise perspective.

Delivering compelling findings with storytelling and workshops.

Creating content and sharing insights through Rich's always-on strategic insights platform, supporting the evolution of insights activation, and advancing customer-facing insights.

Project Management

Partner with various functional groups to define problems/issues/ opportunities, where market research can be used as a tool to make better decisions or to create demand.

Ensure clear definition of objective and scope of the research

Evaluate and select most appropriate sources of acquiring data (internal and external sources)

Recommend and manage appropriate budget, communicate realistic timelines and specify deliverables

Lead development of assigned research roadmaps to support business objectives

Analyze and recommend most appropriate sources qualitative and/or quantitative research

Lead coordination and management of research vendors including vendor assessment, statement of work development, contract negotiation and business alignment

Support management of overall research budget

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field, MBA preferred.

5+ years of market research experience with a proven track record of results

Experience in the food industry preferred

Demonstrated experience using several quantitative and qualitative market research methodologies and techniques

Demonstrated ability to make recommendations based on findings and analysis

Demonstrated ability to be a strong business partner and team collaborator - demonstrated ability to work with all levels within the organization

In-depth Experience with syndicated data applications required (i.e., IRI, Nielsen, NPD, Spectra, Technomic).

Ability to identify and adapt new research methodologies

Advanced analytical skills

Strong communication skills including written and oral presentations to both internal associates and to customers

Strong strategic thinking, critical thinking and problem solving skills

Strong project management/time management and influencing skills. Ability to plan and develop research roadmaps for assigned areas of responsibility.

Solid software proficiency including Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint - Advanced proficiency Excel #CORP123 #LI-RT1

COMPENSATION

In accordance with state law, the rate or range provided is Rich Products Corporation, its subsidiaries and affiliates ("Rich's"), reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount may be higher or lower, based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, shift differential, and location.

Annual Range/Hourly Rate

$98,400.00 - $147,600.00
