The Manager - Strategic Procurement position for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for leading a team focused on strategic commodity management through supplier relationships, supplier risk mitigation, operating margin expansion, and driving optimal total cost of ownership.

This position is part of the procurement department located in Miami, FL, and will be hybrid. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.

You will be a part of the strategic procurement team and report to the Director of Materials and Planning, responsible for all the Site Commodity Management deliverables, including direct material cost reductions, indirect material (expense) savings management, and all site procurement initiatives for new product development and launch. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Lead Strategic Relationship Management professionals with responsibilities for hardware and consumables for three regional sites
• Focus on Supply Base Management deliverables for key commodities/suppliers
• Drive significant Key Performance Indicators (i.e. total cost of ownership, supplier OTD)
• Improve Operating Margin Expansion/Deliver on cost reduction targets
• Mitigate supplier risks ensuring material continuity
• Liaison with corporate commodity leaders and site tactical procurement in implementing strategies
• Develop into roles with increasing responsibilities

The essential requirements of the job include:

• Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 9+ yrs experience, or Masters with 7+ yrs experience.
• 5+ years leading and engaging teams (5 or more) to include successful performance management and employee development
• 5+ Years Procurement Experience within manufacturing
• Strategic sourcing responsibility for $100+ million for a variety of Commodities- High Mix/Low Volume (plastics, metal, chemical, etc.)
• History of developing and implementing commodity strategies, supplier relationship management, and supplier selection
• Proven experience in lean and continuous improvement to include cost reduction performance, etc.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Experience in make vs buy decisions
• Regulated industry, i.e FDA
