Summary:

Plans, organizes, directs, staffs and controls a wide range of operations and activities pertaining to contracting, procurement, and value analysis functions at Cook Childrens; provides direct and indirect supervision to subordinate staff, including management, supervisory, professional, technical, clerical and other support employees; develops and administers goals, objectives, policies, and procedures regarding CCMC procurement, value analysis and supply chain functions; participates in supply chain strategic development and planning processes; and performs other duties as assigned. The Strategic Sourcing Manager ensures department compliance with required federal, state, and local statutes and in a manner that recognizes the value of positive customer relations with all of the departments customers. Collaborative decisions are reached following the Health Care System guidelines for quality, value, safety, regulatory compliance, delivery, and cost.

Education:

Bachelors Degree in Nursing, Supply Chain, Business, or related degree required; Masters degree a plus Five plus years experience in Strategic Sourcing or ten plus years in Nursing Intermediate level experience with Power Point and Word required. Prior experience with group purchasing organizations (GPO) preferred

Certification/Licensure:

Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) preferred
