Manager, Strategy (Bilingual English/Korean)
Job Description
We are currently seeking our newest innovator to join our dynamic team as an Assistant Manager, Strategy (Bilingual English/Korean) on the Strategy Team!
Position Summary:
The role of the Assistant Manager in the Strategy department will be to support key corporate initiatives, at the direction of the US CEO, that may span all parts of the organization including different business units and functions. The Assistant Manager will work closely with senior members of the strategy department. Key tasks will include activities that are typical of an in-house consultant, including: project management, research, analysis, development of mid-to-long term corporate strategic plans and other ad-hoc assignments from the US CEO.
- The Assistant Manager will work on some of the highest-level, and high-impact projects taking place in the US organization. In addition, the Assistant Manager will interact directly with top leadership in LG US. Accordingly, the position requires a high-degree of professionalism, integrity and capability.
- Team leaders will provide direction about priorities and deadlines. The Assistant Manager will have latitude to develop creative deliverables. We are looking for someone to take ownership of problems and transform loosely-defined situations into concrete and actionable proposals.
- This role will not be primarily responsible for innovation, but the Assistant Manager may be asked to participate in projects that involve innovating new services, processes and business and go-to-market approaches, in cooperating with the relevant business or functional owners.
- The Assistant Manager would possess a high-degree of general knowledge about business, technology, economics, and communication. The candidate should demonstrate a record of high academic and professional achievement with up to five years of professional experience and a bachelor's degree in a technical or business field would be preferred. English proficiency is mandatory, and preference will be given to candidates with a working knowledge of written Korean.
- The Assistant Manager must possess strong written and oral communciation skills, with a demostrated ability to tailor his/her communication method and style appropriately to the task at hand. The candidate should have impeccable grammar, and exhibit the good judgement and attention to detail required to produce polished, professional effective communcations.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor degree is required with a high GPA & preferably in a technical or business field of study
- A minimum of 5 years experience is required
- English proficiency required, both written and oral.
- Ability to read Korean required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, PowerPoint ,Word)
