Manager, Strategy & Partnerships
Job Description
The Manager, Strategy and Partnerships is a driven business strategist who works across the organization to drive new growth and innovation. This person will have the chance to develop external product and market strategies, develop and launch new solutions, and partner with innovative external companies across healthcare.
This person will work with leaders across all parts of the organization, including Product, Business Development, Technology, and Finance, to understand unmet market needs, identify and size opportunities, develop strong business cases for investment, and engage with innovative companies to expand capabilities. This person will have the opportunity to explore and build solutions in fast-growing areas, like health information exchange, value-based care delivery, network strategy, and social determinants of health.
This is an excellent role for an early or mid-career professional looking to expand their strategy/consulting and general management skillsets, solve complex, challenging problems, build their market-facing voice and presence, and expand their professional network across healthcare.
The Strategy and Partnerships team is primarily focused on building external growth strategies and new product development opportunities and managing corporate partnerships.
This is a full-time, exempt, remote position and reports to the Vice President, Strategy and Partnerships.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Develop high-quality business strategies through market research and listening, engagement with internal leaders and SMEs, external interviews and discussion facilitation, focused problem-solving, recommendation development, and strategic planning.
- Collaborate with product and business leadership to develop new solutions across the solution development lifecycle, from overall strategy to product ideation and definition and business model development; work through buyer segments, pricing models, competitive differentiation, etc.
- Build and expand external relationships with corporate partners; lead strategic partnership prioritization and execution, including defining joint value proposition, partnership structure, business arrangements, and governance models.
- Influence CAQH teams and leadership to adopt new ideas or pursue new business opportunities through strong strategic analysis and business case development.
- Present to executive stakeholders, including customers and corporate partners, to advocate for strategic recommendations or business cases (incl opportunity to present to CAQH executive team and/or Board of Directors).
- Represent CAQH in corporate partnerships, coalitions, task forces and committees that further the mission.
- Champion and support a culture of innovation and strategic decision-making across the organization.

- Background in healthcare and health IT a plus.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Word, Excel, Office 365 and PowerPoint).
Required Experience:
- Bachelor's degree.
- 2-5+ years of professional experience.
- 1+ years strategy consulting or corporate strategy experience.
- Proven conceptual, analytical, and financial modeling skills.
- History of quickly gaining credibility, partnering with business leaders, and exhibiting executive presence.
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
Preferred Experience:
- MBA and/or other advanced degree (e.g., MD, PhD, JD, Master's).
- Healthcare experience.
- Experience in innovation, new product development or venture capital.
Certification Requirements:
None required.
