Manager, Strategy & Planning, APAC

About the Role

We are looking for a Strategy & Planning Manager to partner with our Regional General Manager for Uber for Business in APAC on some of our most critical business problems.

You will be responsible for supporting and driving sustained growth across the region, including driving expansion, GTM strategy & Strategic Initiatives across the region. In addition to partnering with our internal U4B team (Sales, Finance, Operations), you will also be responsible for driving cross-functional initiatives with the broader Uber organization, including regional and local Mobility and Delivery Ops.

The ideal candidate is self-driven and able to operate with a high degree of independence. You are a competent presenter, ideally with significant prior experience in business presentations to senior business leaders.

What the Candidate Will Do

• Regional Planning: Driving Regional Annual Financial planning together with Finance. Setting Regional Priority and GTM strategy together with the Regional General Manager and the Regional Leadership team. Sizing and prioritization of investment choices.
• Program Management: Spearheading some of the most critical initiatives across APAC working cross-functionally with Operations and GTM teams, e.g. working with regional Operations teams on unlocking new use cases and business opportunities for Uber for Business.
• Performance Reporting & Analytics: Monthly report on Business Performance to the Global Leadership and some deep dive analysis.
• Acting as a thought partner and trusted advisor to the Regional General Manager of APAC.

What the Candidate Will Need

• 6+ years of relevant work experience from top-tier Strategy Consulting, Investment Banking, or relevant experience in Tech (Strategy, Strategic Finance, and/or Operations role).
• Analytics is integral to the Strategy & Planning work and there is a strong preference for intermediate-to-advanced SQL capabilities (or proven ability to learn new coding languages quickly) and experience working with Google Sheets and dashboarding tools (Tableau, Looker).
• Strong Problem Solving & Data skills. Self-starter with a can-do attitude able to see projects through from inception to conclusion with a high degree of independence.
• Powerful executive communication skills with experience in driving leadership communication - both verbally and in writing.
