Manager, Streaming Revenue & Analysis

Job Description

As the Manager - Finance, Streaming, this position is responsible for the financial and strategic support for AMC Networks' streaming services (AMC+, Acorn, Shudder, Sundance Now, Allblk, IFC Films Unlimited, and HIDIVE). This role will manage the day-to-day financial planning, including budgeting and forecasting, as well as track KPIs against budget and forecast targets. This includes collaborating with the marketing team to analyze the performance of each streaming service.

The Manager - Finance, Streaming Revenue & Analysis will run the operating model for the services and work closely with Accounting to ensure accurate revenue recognition and provide variance analysis against budget and forecast. This role reports directly to the Director - Finance, Streaming and will work closely with other members of the Finance team (distribution, content, marketing, corporate) and Accounting.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Budget and forecasting management, including financial modeling, sensitivity analysis and executive presentation of streaming service performance
• Maintain robust and integrated operational and long-term models and associated analytics

• Track KPIs for each streaming service and analyze variances to budget and forecast
• Provide variance commentary for material P&L variances to budget and forecast as part of monthly close process
• Perform detailed analysis of streaming performance using internal BI tools
• Assist in preparing presentations and deliverables to senior management as part of strategic reviews and other forecast or budgeting processes

QUALIFICATIONS (Required & Preferred)

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
• Must have advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant work experience including financial analysis and consolidation of financial statements
• Previous experience in streaming or a direct-to-consumer digital / media business a plus but not required

• Strong analytical skills and experience with reporting and data analysis
• Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time in a fast-paced environment
• Technically capable, excellent communicator, and a desire to improve processes
• Sound knowledge of corporate finance and accounting with proven ability to mine and manipulate data, identify and analyze trends, and make decisions with limited information
• Excellent communication skills and ability to develop relationships with team members across diverse groups

• Must be a creative problem solver and a quick thinker

The base compensation range for this position is $100,000 to $110,000 commensurate with experience.
