Manager, Supplier Quality

Job Summary:

As the Supplier Quality Manager, you will drive high-quality standards with our supplier partners as we expand our product portfolio. Through a data-driven approach, your function will help us eliminate product defects through root cause solution design. You’ll take the lead on managing the day-to-day global quality operations by reviewing factory audits, product inspections, monitoring overseas partner factories ’ performance, and developing corrective action plans with factories when necessary. You will play a critical role in delivering a world-class, worry-free experience for our customers.

What You’ll Do

• Manage the inspection of products from start to finish at our supplier partner facilities, as well as our warehouses
• Develop detailed product inspection checklists and review & publish inspection reports
• Review manufacturing and social compliance audits, monitoring supplier results over time
• Routinely track defect rates, quality improvements, and other metrics
• Use root cause analysis to trace defects and train suppliers to improve production processes
• Hold vendors accountable to quality issues via corrective action planning
• Manage China Quality team and third-party inspectors to conduct factory audits and quality inspections promptly, providing constructive feedback as needed
• Assist product teams with regulatory compliance strategy by staying up to speed on product recalls and providing direction on failed products when necessary 

What You’ll Need to Have:

Required:

• Minimum of 2+ years of work experience in quality control
• Ability to function in a fast-paced work environment with a high sense of urgency
• Strong project management and communication skills
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft / Google Suite
• Thorough understanding of consumer product industry testing and inspection standards 
• Strong knowledge of product-specific construction standards, materials, and manufacturing processes/techniques
• High level of accountability and technical experience in an inspection, testing, or manufacturing environment
• Willingness to travel internationally to meet with suppliers

Preferred:

• Mandarin or Hindi proficiency
• 2+ years in home goods or textiles quality control
• Familiarity with any quality management software
• Expertise in regulatory and/or social compliance
