Manager, Sustainability Reporting

Job Summary
At e.l.f. Beauty we are committed to advancing sustainability. Reporting to the VP, Sustainability, the Manger, Sustainability Reporting will help shape and drive the company's sustainability reporting and disclosure strategy. This position will have a primary focus on leading planning and execution of e.l.f. Beauty’s ESG/sustainability reporting, data collection, and verification activities. The ideal candidate has deep knowledge of the ESG reporting and disclosure landscape and has worked with publicly traded companies on their sustainability reporting.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage the company's sustainability reporting and disclosure roadmap, including planning and preparation for emerging requirements.
- Manage sustainability reporting and disclosure processes from planning through execution, including, but not limited to: CDP, ISSB, SEC Climate Change Disclosure, California climate reporting, CSRD, and other emerging regulations.
- Coordinate within the Sustainability team and with other functions to collect accurate and complete data; oversee data validation and assurance processes; and prepare written content.
- Establish and oversee sustainability reporting processes, policies and practices; design and implement required checks and measures to ensure compliance, accuracy, and credibility.
- Lead sustainability reporting and disclosure-related projects with third-party consultants.
- Provide reporting support for other sustainability-related ratings, rankings, surveys, etc.
- Track, monitor and report on progress against sustainability goals.
- Serve as the company subject matter expert for current and emerging ESG reporting standards and frameworks - both voluntary and mandatory (e.g., EU CSRD, ISSB, GRI, SASB, UNSDG, etc.)
- Monitor and benchmark reporting trends and changes to reporting frameworks and standards
- Synthesize and communicate findings and develop recommendations on advancing e.l.f. Beauty’s external reporting practices

- Evaluate company reporting and disclosure practices, processes, controls and systems; identify gaps and recommend opportunities to ensure business readiness
- Lead efforts to enhance processes, controls and systems to support ESG disclosures for financial and non-financial reporting.
- Partner with Finance/Internal Audit for internal and external audits of ESG data and disclosures; collaborate to ensure SOX compliance and alignment of relevant ESG data.
- Partner with key internal functions (e.g., Finance/Internal Audit, Regulatory, Legal) to lead and support report assurance and compliance related activities.Â
- Develop data management systems for ESG in coordination with financial reporting systems.

Requirements:
 - 5+ years’ experience in corporate sustainability, with demonstrated ESG reporting responsibilities, either working for a public company or in a consulting/client advisory role
- Bachelor’s degree in a field related to Sustainability, ESG, or Finance
- Strong technical knowledge and direct experience with ESG reporting standards and frameworks (e.g., CDP, SASB, ISSB, EU CSRD, SEC, relevant US state law)
- Prior experience using ESG reporting and data management systems (e.g., Workiva, Watershed).
- Working knowledge of social and environmental issues such as climate, water, plastics, biodiversity, supply chain, human rights, social impact, etc.
- Strong data management skills and analytical thinker. Proficient in defining, analyzing, and communicating both quantitative and qualitative information.
- Proven project management skills: detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to effectively manage multiple workstreams
- Inclusive and collaborative across a range of internal stakeholders at all levels, with demonstrated ability to manage and lead by influence
- Effective in conducting research and synthesizing information and recommendations for senior leaders
- Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal and PowerPoint
