Manager, Systems and Test

POSITION SUMMARY:

This is a hands-on management position on our engineering verification team leading a small team. Responsibilities include reviewing mechanical and software changes from our Holo Surgical System R&D team and mentoring junior engineers.

Responsibilities:

• Manage junior mechanical and electrical engineering verification engineers
• Lead hardware testing effort for all Holo Surgical System Projects
• Review draft test cases and provide feedback
• Create and execute tests for Holo Surgical System
• Collate test results and present reports on testing protocols
• Provide status to stakeholders on accessing overall progress and completion of testing tasks and quality for the system team
• Partner with development team to identify testing approaches for device design, development, enhancements, and bug fixes
• Participate in requirements and design reviews
• Assist with hiring and interviewing
• Participate in process improvement for the engineering team
• Manage system engineering test lab and equipment
• Other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills.

• Understanding of software tools; Azure DevOps, Test Asset Management software

• Exceptional communication skills

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field required
• Demonstrated ability to be effective leader
• 1-4+ years of test, quality assurance, or engineering verification management experience

• 5-8+ years of test, quality assurance, or engineering verification

• 2-4+ years of experience in design control in an ISO 9001 / ISO 13485 / MDD regulated industry desired
• 2 years of experience in testing orthopedic implants and instruments desired
• Experience working under a QMS

Education/Experience Preferred

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
